For admission into the Diploma programs, a student will have to possess the minimum qualifications of:

1. Students must have Passed in High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) Examination (10+) conducted by the Mizoram Board of School Education or any other examination recognised by the State Council for Technical Education.
2. Exemption will be given to students for admission to the Diploma program who have qualifications higher than the minimum specified entry qualification. Exemption will be decided by the State Council for Technical Education for grant of credit for the same for students entering with other higher qualifications.
3. Selection will be done through the appropriate screening/ selection process conducted by the State Directorate of Technical Education or any appropriate authority.
4. State Council for Technical Education will decide the equivalence of other examinations and notify from time to time.

Selection and Interview

Selection is done through the Directorate of Higher & Technical Education through written test and personal interview. The candidates are required to bring the following documents at the time of interview:

1. Certificate and Mark Sheet of HSLC or its Equivalent
2. PUC or Class-XII Certificate (for MOP Course only)
3. PUC or Class-XII Mark Sheet (for MOP Course only).
4. Birth certificate.
5. Tribal Certificate for SC/ST Candidates.
6. Physical Fitness Certificate (if required)
