Eligibility and Selection Procedure for BArch in SCMS School of Architecture

In order to become eligible for admission to B.Arch degree programme at SSA, a candidate should have

50% marks in the aggregate at the 10+2 examination with Mathematics as subject of examination at the 10+2 level. A minimum of 50% separately for Mathematics in the qualifying examination.
A valid NATA score with qualifying marks as specified by COA

NRI CANDIDATES

NRI candidates too have to fulfill the minimum eligibility conditions of the Council of Architecture mentioned above
Here also, merit is the basic criterion for admission

SELECTION PROCESS

Selection to B.Arch programme is based purely on merit. Selection will be done by SSA giving due weightage to the marks obtained in 10+2 examination and the NATA score. Merit is the only criterion for selection.

Enrollment of B Arch Students, admitted under Management Quota & NRI Quota for 2019-20 is scheduled on 26th July, 2019 10.00 am to 12.30 pm at SCMS School of Architecture, Karukutty.

Curriculum

Course of study is spread over a period of five academic years under semester system. In the first year, two semesters are combined. VII & VIII semesters are allotted for practical training under a registered architect and to complete the dissertation. The last semester is given to complete the thesis and viva voce. The B.Arch curriculum is designed to facilitate comprehensive learning in five major areas such as critical thinking, design, building, representation and social engagement. More details will be supplied separately as and when required.

FEE STRUCTURE

B.Arch: As specified in the Agreement with the Government of Kerala

Miscellaneous Fee and Caution Deposit: All students are required to make a onetime payment of Rs.100/- as Admission Fee, Rs. 2800/- as Miscellaneous Administration Fee and Rs. 2000/- towards P.T.A., systems related fee of Rs.5,000/- and a Caution Deposit of Rs.10000/- at the time of admissions. Students will have to pay the examination and other fees as prescribed by the M.G. University. The exact dates of fee payments will be displayed on the Notice Board.
