Nurul Hasan Centre for Management Studies (NHCMS) located in the Himalayan foothills, the Management department of North Bengal University is named after the late educationist and honorable ex-Governor of West Bengal,Prof. Nurul Hassan.
The department was established with a motto of providing quality education in terms of management studies to the students of North Bengal.
The department started together with the Department of Commerce and gradually moved on to a separate building with professors of the commerce department providing the faculty back bone.
With time, the institution has been gaining much popularity and is also strengthening its base. The student strength is also increasing and as a result of this development the ALL INDIA COUNCIL FOR TECHNICAL EDUCATION(AICTE) agreed to the affiliation proposal and has given the department its accredition on December 14,2006 thereby adding a feather to the success crown of the institute.
