Haldia Institute of Maritime Studies and Research (HIMSAR) is duly approved by Directorate General of Shipping (D.G.Shipping), Govt. of India and affiliated to West Bengal University of Technology (WBUT) and Indian Maritime University (IMU). It is an ISO 9001:2015 certified organisation and certified by IRS (Indian Register of Shipping).
Location: The institute is located at Haldia which is 130 KM away from Kolkata as well as Kharagpur. The new expressway makes the campus imminently assessable from both these major cities. Buses and trains for Haldia are available frequently from both the cities.
