Candidates must be 10 + 2 (or equivalent) passed in any stream (Arts, Science & Commerce) from any recognized Board.

Candidate should have passed 10+2 or equivalent securing minimum 60% in PCM (Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics) & 50% in English either in (10+2) or 10th standard. 

Age limit: Not more than 20 years as on 1st October of admission year. 

The maximum age limit for General category is 25 years at the time of admission.

The maximum age limit for OBC category is 27 years at the time of admission.

The maximum age limit for SC/ST category is 30 years at the time of admission.

The maximum age limit for women candidates of each category shall be relaxed by additional 2 years.

Physical Standard: The candidate must be medically fit and should meet the Medical Requirements as per M. S. Rule 2000.

Eye Sight: Vision should be 6/6 (normal) in each eye separately without visionary aid and no colour blindness.

Selection Process: The selection of candidates will be based on their performance in the Common Entrance Test (CET) conducted by West Bengal University of Technology (WBUT) or Indian Maritime University (IMU) followed by counseling and on satisfying the medical conditions prescribed for the course.
