Dhirubhai Ambani Institute of Information and Communication Technology (DAIICT) offers following programs for the academic year 2022-2023

B.Tech  (4 year)

Specialization:

• Information and Communication Technology – B.Tech. (ICT)
• Computational Science
• Mathematics and Computing

Eligibility: Candidates should be a pass (with 50% marks for general category and 40% marks for SC/ ST category candidates) in the 12^th standard or its equivalent with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry/ Bio-technology/ Computer Science/ Biology.

All candidates who are offered provisional admission will be required to produce the proof of having passed the qualifying examination (10+2 examination or equivalent) to the institute failing which the provisional admission will stand, cancelled.

Age: Only those candidates whose has completed 17 years at the time of admission is eligible.

Date of birth as recorded in the 10th or 12th standard certificate, as issued by the board/ university only, will be taken as authentic.

Candidates must produce this certificate in original as proof of their age at the time of counselling.

Selection Process: Valid Score in JEE MAIN.

Fees: Rs. 86,000/- Per Semester

M.Sc. (2 year)

Specialization and Seats:

• IT - 90
• M.Sc. in Data Science- 60

Eligibility:

M.Sc. in IT: Candidate should hold a Bachelor’s Degree with minimum 60% marks, or its  equivalent.

Candidates appearing in their final Degree examination and expecting to complete it by July 2021 may also apply.

Selection Process: Valid Score in Entrance Test and Interview

Fees: Rs. 85,000/- Per Semester

M.Sc. in Data Science:  Candidate should hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Science from a recognized university with an aggregate of  minimum 60% or its equivalent as per the norms set by the Degree granting institute/university in  Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science or Economics.

Or

Hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technology from a recognized university with an aggregate of at least 60% or its equivalent as per the norms set by the degree granting institute/university in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, Electronics & Communication or Electrical Engineering.

Candidates appearing in their final Degree examination and expecting to complete it by July 2021 may also apply.

However, their final admission will be subject to the condition that they obtain an aggregate of 60% marks, or its equivalent as per the norms set by the Degree granting institute/university.

All admitted candidates have to submit their Degree certificates or proof of completion of Degree, before last date.

Selection Process: Valid Score in Entrance Test and Interview.

The entrance test will carry 50% weightage and the interview 50% weightage.

M.Des. Communication Design (2 year)

Seats: 20

Eligibility:  Candidate should hold a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent from a recognized university/ institute in the fields of Design, Science, Engineering, Technology, Humanities, Social Sciences, Fine Arts, Applied Arts and Performing Arts. Professional Diplomas from nationally recognized institutions such as NID, NIFT, CEPT and Srishti School of Art and Design will also be considered for eligibility.

Candidates must have 55% marks or equivalent in the last qualifying Degree/ examination and are required to submit the provisional Degree certificate or proof of completion of Degree before 30 October.

Selection Process: Valid Score in CEED and Interview.

Fees:  Rs. 65,000/- Per Semester

M.Tech (2 year)

Specialization:

• Information and Communication Technology
• Communication Systems and Machine learning (CS&ML)
• CSE with specialization in Data Sciences (CS-DS)

Eligibility: Candidate should a hold B.E/ B.Tech Degree from recognised board/ university.

The aggregate marks in the qualifying degree should not be less than 60% or equivalent as per the norm set by the Degree awarding institute/ university.

Selection Process: Valid Score in GATE.

The candidates with GATE score less than 425 may be required to appear for an interview at DA-IICT in person.

Non-GATE candidates selection will be based on their qualifying Degree and performance in the interview.

Weightage will be as follows:

• 40% weightage -> qualifying Degree
• 60% weightage-> interview 

Fees: Rs. 65,500/- Per Semester

Ph.D (3 year)

Specialization:

• CT and Allied Domains
• Mathematics and Natural Sciences
• Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences

Eligibility: Candidate should hold Master’s Degree in relevant stream.

Minimum marks shall be obtained 60%.

Candidates with M.Sc./MCA unless they have a subsequent M. Phil. Degree will be considered equivalent to candidate with a B.Tech/ B.E Degree and are required to fulfil (additional) course and research requirements.

There is no age limit applicable to this program.

Selection Process: Direct Interview for candidates with valid JRF/ DST Inspire/ PM scholarship/ Visvesvaraya Ph.D scheme at the time of application.

Shortlisting will be on the basis of a proctored online test and the selection will be based on a personal interview.

The interview will happen via a video conferencing mode either through Skype or Google Hangout/ Meet.

Fees: Rs. 20,000/- Per Semester

Application fee (non-refundable) is Rs. 1,200/- plus GST @18%.

Application fee can be paid through online.

Eligible candidates have to appear for an online proctored entrance test.

For M.Des Candidates without a valid CEED score will be considered for admission through a Design Aptitude Test (DAT) to be conducted online in a proctored mode.

Final merit list for admission will be  prepared based on the aggregate marks of the entrance test and the interview. The top 60 scorers will be offered confirmed admission.  There will also be a waitlist.

The candidates who are offered confirmed admission will be given ten days’ time to accept the admission offer by paying the prescribed fees. If a candidate fails to pay the fees within the given period, the offer of the admission will stand withdrawn and the eligible candidate in the waiting list will be offered admission and she/he will be given five days’ time to accept the offer and pay the fees.

The candidates who have accepted admission offers will be notified to appear for registration, followed by counseling, document verification, and on confirmation of admission, the orientation program.

Final merit list of confirmed and wait-listed candidates, based on their combined performance in the entrance test and the interview, will be posted on the website of the institute. Offer/intimation of the admission letter will be sent by post and/or email to candidates accordingly.
