Eligibility: B.Tech. Civil Engineering, B.Tech. Computer Science and Engineering, B.Tech. Electrical and Electronics Engineering, B.Tech. Electronics and Communication Engineering, B.Tech. Information Technology, B.Tech. Mechanical Engineering:  Candidate pass 10+2 from recognised university/ institute with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry as optional subjects securing a separate minimum of 50% marks in Mathematics and 50% marks in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry put together.

 B.Tech. Marine Engineering: Pass in the 10+2  from recognised university/ institute  with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English as separate subjects with a PCM average of not less than 60% marks and minimum 50% for Mathematics alone. Should have passed English at 10th or 12th Standards with 50% marks (applicable to SC/ST candidates also).

Vocational/Diploma students are not eligible to apply.

Maximum age limit prescribed is 25 years as on 1st September of the year of admission.

Physical and eye fitness certificate from a medical officer approved by the DG Shipping should be produced at the time of admission.

B.Tech. Naval Architecture and Ship Building (NA & SB):  Pass in Plus Two (10+2) examination conducted in Kerala or the examination of any other University/ Board accepted by the University as equivalent thereto in First Class (60% marks) with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry as subjects of study and with a minimum of 50% marks in Mathematics as well as for Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry put together.

B.Tech. Polymer Science and Engineering:  Pass in Plus Two examination of the State of Kerala with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry as optional subjects or any other examination accepted as equivalent thereto securing a minimum of 50% marks in Mathematics and 50% marks in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry put together. 

B.Tech. Instrumentation Technology: Pass in the plus two (12th) examination of any state/national board with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry or any other examination accepted as equivalent by CUSAT with at least 60% marks in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry put together and with at least 55% in Mathematics separately.

B.Tech. Lateral Entry- Duration 3 year: Candiate pass three year Diploma in Engineering /Technology awarded by Board of Technical Education recognisedby the Department ofTechnical Education,Government of Kerala, with at least 60%marks.

The maximum age prescribed is 25 years as on 1st July ofthe current academicyear.

Eligibility: (i) Candiate pass 10+2 with at least 60% marks including languages in Science group/ Commerce group or with at least 55% marks including languages in Arts/ Humanities stream.

(ii) Should not have completed 20 years of age as on the 1st July of the year ofAdmission; 22 years in the case of SC/ST/SEBC candidates.

M.Sc. in Computer Science: Candidate should hold a Bachelor's Degree from recognised university/ institute in Computer Science/ Information  Technology/ Computer Applications/ Computer Science and Eng. of minimum 3  years duration.

Minimum marks shall be secured 55%.

M.Sc. in Electronic Science: Candidate should hold a Bachelor's Degree from recognised university/ institute in Electronics/ Electronic Science.

M.Sc. in Instrumentation: Candidate should hold B.Sc. Degree in Instrumentation / Physics / Electronics with at least 60% marks from any recognized University. MSc in Hydrochemistry: B.Sc. Degree in Chemistry with Mathematics and Physics as subsidiaries

M.Sc. in Marine Geology:  Candidate should hold  B.Sc. Degree in Geology/ Physics/ Chemistry from recognised university/ institute.

Minimum marks shall be secured 60%.

 M.Sc. in Marine Geophysics: Candidate should hold B.Sc. Degree in Geology/ Physics with  Mathematics as one of the subjects from recognised university/ institute.

Minimum marks shall be secured 60%.

M.Sc. in (Environmental Technology) Stream 1: Environmental Engg.): Candidate should be a Graduate in Chemistry with Physics andMathematics as subsidiaries or graduate inEngineering (Civil/Public Health/Environmental or Chemical) with 55%marks (50% in the case of SC/STcandidates) in optional subjects in thequalifying exam and a valid rank in the CAT, conducted by the university.

M.Sc. in (EnvironmentalTechnology) Stream 2:Environmental Biotechnology):  Candidate should be a Graduate in Life Sciences/ EnvironmentalScience/ Zoology/ Botany/ Microbiologywith 55% marks (50% in the case of SC/STcandidates) in optional subjects in thequalifying exam. and a valid rank in theCAT, conducted by the university.

M.Sc. in Biotechnology: Candidate should hold Bachelor’s Degree in any branch of LifeSciences including Agricultural andMedical Sciences/ Chemical Sciences/ Chemical Engg. from recognised university/ institute.

Minimum marks shall be secured 55%.

M.Sc. in Microbiology: Candidate should hold a Bachelor’s Degree in any branch of LifeSciences including Agricultural and Medical Sciences from recognised university/ institute.

M.Sc. in Marine Biology:  Candidate should hold B.Sc. Degree in any branch of Life Sciencessuch as Aqua culture, Biochemistry,Biotechnology, Botany, Microbiology,Zoology etc. as a main subject or B.Sc.degree in Fishery Science with at least 55%marks in the optional subjects.

M.Sc. in Industrial Fisheries: Candidate should hold a Bachelor’s Dgree in Fisheries/ Zoology/ Botany with at least 55% marks in theoptional subjects. Bachelor’s Degree inFisheries includes IndustrialFisheries/Aquaculture /Fishery Science/Industrial Fish and Fisheries/ B.F.Sc.(Nautical Science). 3 Supernumerary seatsare reserved for children of such persons,whose occupation is fishing and aresponsored by Dept. of Fisheries, Kerala. 2Supernumerary seats are reserved forSponsored staff of Kerala FisheriesDepartment.

M.Tech. CUST: Admission Process 2023

Candidates need to clear Common Admission Test 2023 to get admission in above programs

MBA: candidate has to pass KMAT/ CMAT/ CAT (IIM) exam.

All Candidates applying for Common Admission Test 2023 (CAT 2023) should submit their applications online.

International candidates and those applying for the B.Tech. lateral entry programme (for Diploma-holders)/MBA/M.Tech should also submit their applications online.

Candidates for Ph.D./M. Phil./ M.A. Translation-German & Russian / Diploma/Certificate programmes need not submit online application form.

They can obtain the printed applicationform from the departments concerned by paying the required application fee through Demand Draft, drawn in favour of "Registrar, CUSAT" payable at Ernakulam.
