Shall have passed B Tech/ BE/BSc Engineering Degrees in Electronics or Electrical and Electronics or Electronics and Communication branch from any University in Kerala or an Examination of any other University/Institution accepted by this University as equivalent thereto with a minimum of 60% marks.

Selection Process: Valid Score in CUSAT/GATE.

M.Tech. Marine Engineering

Candidate should have passed B. Tech /B.E/B.S degree in Marine Engineering OR B. Tech/ B.Sc. (Eng.) degree in Mechanical Engineering or B.Tech degree in Naval Architecture and Ship Building with a minimum of 60% marks or an examination of any other University /Institution accepted by this University as equivalent thereto with 60% marks.

Selection Process: Valid Score in CUSAT/GATE.

B. Tech or equivalent degree / AMIE in Polymer Science and Rubber Technology/ Chemical Engg. /Technology or M.Sc. Polymer Chemistry/M.Sc. Chemistry with Polymer Chemistry specialization with a First Class (60% marks) from any recognized University or Institution.

Selection Process: Valid Score in CUSAT/GATE .

B. Tech or equivalent degree or AMIE/AMIETE in the branch of Computer Science or Information Technology or Electronics and Communication, or MCA, with a first class (60%marks) applicable to all the above, from any recognized University or Institution.

Candidates with valid GATE Score are eligible for 5% relaxation in the marks of their qualifying examination.

B. Candidates who have passed Sections A & B examinations conducted by the Institution of Engineers (India) – AMIE in Chemical /Civil/Mechanical branches or Indian Institute of Chemical Engineers – AMIChE shall also be eligible.

Admission Process

Application Procedure for MTech in Cochin University of Science and Technology

On-line applications shall be submitted only through the Websitewww.cusat.nic.in. No hard copies shall be sent to the University by post.

Steps for on-line application:

Creating login ID – Open the web site www.cusat.nic.in. Click on the link “New Candidate Registration” and enter correctly the candidates Name, Date of Birth and Age exactly as given in the qualifying certificate. Provide a Working/VALID e-mail id and an Active Mobile Number of the Candidate or his/her Parent.

This email ID will be the user name for further login by the candidate.

After logging in you will see 2 options. The First Option “Online Registration Indian Citizens /NRI / Children of Indian Gulf Workers (CGW)” is for all Indian Citizens applying for Non-NRI / NRI / CGW Seats. The Second Option “International Candidates / PIO” is for those who are applying for seats reserved for Foreign Citizens or Persons of Indian Origin (PIO). A candidate applying for the Second Option “International Candidates / PIO” cannot apply for the First Option.

A candidate applying for the First Option “Online Registration Indian Citizens /NRI / Children of Indian Gulf Workers (CGW)” can apply either for any one of the categories or for two categories or for all the three categories as per his/her choice. But they cannot apply for the Second Option “International Candidates / PIO”
