MICA, formerly known as Mudra Institute of Communications Ahmedabad (MICA) was set up 26 years ago in 1991. It is approved by AICTE. Mica is non- profit institution and an autonomous, offers various academic residential programs.

MICA Scholarships

Mica offer scholarship based on the students overall academic performance and family income.

Students currently pursuing studies at MICA can only avail scholarships and they should be students of the 2-year programmes such as Post Graduate Diploma in Management (Communications) - PGDM(C) and Post Graduate Diploma in Management - PGDM and the 1-year Post Graduate Certificate in Crafting Creative Communication (CCC). Selection process of awarding and evaluating the Scholarships is detailed and rigorous. Each scholarship amounts upto 25% of the annual fees per student in the programme.

The selection criteria is based on:

• Candidate’s Family Background
• If candidate family having income not exceeding Rs. 8 lacs per annum
• Scrutiny of Income-Tax Returns and Bank Statements of previous years
• Candidate academic performance and class attendance record
• Other achievements

The Selection Process involves:

• Notification & Announcement among students inviting applications
• Preliminary scrutiny of applications and financial documents by a Special Committee
• Interview & Interaction with the shortlisted students
• Final recommendation of candidates to President & Director with comments
• Official notification of the final selected students

In all upto 19 Scholarships will be awarded during academic year 2019-20 which include 9 from Post Graduate Diploma programme – 1st Year, 8 from Post Graduate Diploma programme 2nd Year and 2 from the CCC programme.

Please note that the final discretion to award the scholarships rests with the Management.
