Eligibility and Selection Procedure for PGDM in Chandragupt Institute of Management Patna

Candidates must possess a Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent from recognised university/ institute.

Minimum marks shall be secured 50%.

However, candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), and Differently Abled (DA) categories, also referred to as Persons with Disability (PWD), are eligible with a minimum of 45% marks.

Selection Process: Valid score in management entrance examinations such as CAT (Common Admission Test), XAT (Xavier Aptitude Test), MAT (Management Aptitude Test), and CMAT (Common Management Admission Test).The candidates with the highest scores in these examinations are given preference during the selection process.

The institute follows reservation policy as prescribed by the Government of Bihar for educational institutions. The break-up of reservation policy is as follows:

Scheduled Castes – 16%

Scheduled Tribes – 01%

Extremely Backward Class – 18%

Backward Class – 12%,

Women of Backward Class – 3%.

Amongst all the categories, 50% of the total seats would be reserved for students who qualify as a Domicile of Bihar (permanent residents only) and 4% of the total seats for Persons with Disability (PWD).

Admission to the PGDM program is based on marks obatined in CAT, XAT, MAT and CMAT followed by GD and PI.

Cost of an Application Form is Rs. 1,000/- (Rs. 500/- for Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Backward Class (BC) and Differently Abled (DA)* candidates).

Candidates may submit the filled Application Form at the CIMP counter by hand or by post.

Application fee will be paid by Demand Draft, drawn in favour of Chandragupt Institute of Management Patna, payable at Patna, giving CIMP Application Registration number on the reverse of the Demand Draft.

Applicants can also apply online on institute website (www.cimp.ac.in).

Application Form Fee for CIMP: Rs. 1,000/- [Rs. 500/- for Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), and Differently Abled (DA)* candidates].

Application Form Fee is Non-Refundable.

Email ID submitted at the time of registration will be used for all correspondences until enrolment is completed. Change in Email ID will NOT be permitted under any circumstances.

In the absence of the above information, the application will be treated as incomplete and liable to be rejected. All payments by Demand Draft are to be sent to CIMP.
