The Central Agricultural University (CAU) is a residential university, all the students selected for admission to any institution/college of university are eligible for applying hostels. Every hostel is managed by a warden who is responsible for hostel administration and enforcement of the mandatory rules and regulations. For effective functioning of the hostels, various committees like the Hostel Management Committee, The Hostel Welfare Committee, Hostel Mess Committee etc. are formed in all the constituent colleges of the university.

1) Application forms along with the copies of Hostel Regulations can be obtained in person from the office of the concerned wardens and students need to apply in this prescribed Form for hostel accommodation. Selected students can join the hostels after paying the prescribed fees.

2) Student once admitted to the hostel shall take their board in the hostels and constitute as residents thereafter immediately.

3) Hostel borders are compulsory to join hostel mess.

4) Hostel Fees: Students admitted in the hostels shall have to pay mandatory fees listed below during admission itself:

Hostel admission fee for: UG: Rs. 100/-, PG: Rs. 200/-, Ph.D: Rs. 300/- 

Hostel admission fee: UG: Rs. 200/-, PG: Rs. 200/-. Ph.D: Rs. 200/- 

Hostel utensils, crockery etc.: UG: Rs. 100/-, PG: Rs. 100/-, Ph.D: Rs. 100/- 

Hostel room rent: UG: Rs. 500/-, PG: Rs. 500/-, Ph.D: Rs. 500/- 

Hostel Common Room Fee: UG: Rs. 200/-, PG: Rs. 200/-. Ph.D: Rs. 200/- 

Electricity Charges:  UG: Rs. 200/-, PG: Rs. 300/-. Ph.D: Rs. 300/- 

Water charges: UG: Rs. 100/-, PG: Rs. 300/-. Ph.D: Rs. 300/- 

Hostel caution money: UG: Rs. 700/-, PG: Rs. 700/-. Ph.D: Rs. 800/- 

Mess caution money:  UG: Rs. 100/-, PG: Rs. 100/-, Ph.D: Rs. 100/- 

Mess charge: UG: As fixed by the hostel mess, PG: Per month, Ph.D: Non refundable 

Caution money will be refunded when the student is finally leaving the institute / college but after deduction of necessary dues.
