UPSEE-2017.

The entrance examination for degree level engineering institutions and other professional colleges has been assigned to Dr A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow vide Govt. order no. 4929/solah-1-2016-14(54)/2012 dated 21-12-2016. The Govt. of Uttar Pradesh, Technical Education Department, has consented for the constitution of Central Admission Board (CAB) under the Chairmanship of the Vice Chancellor, Dr A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow to supervise and control the State Entrance Examination herein after referred as UPSEE-2017 being conducted by Dr A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow. The CAB has absolute rights for conducting of UPSEE-2017, and to decide about modalities of admissions and allotment of seats. The jurisdiction of CAB extends to colleges / institutes affiliated to AKTU, Lucknow. The CAB is authorised to take every decision regarding conduct and admissions through UPSEE-2017. 

MODE OF ADMISSION:

ADMISSION TO FIRST YEAR

The Entrance Examination for admission to first year of the following courses offered at the Institutions affiliated to AKTU, Lucknow including other mentioned universities situated in territory of Uttar Pradesh for the academic year 2017-2018 shall be conducted by Dr A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow.

(i) 4 years B.Tech./B.Tech.(Ag. Engg.) Course

(ii) 4 years B.Pharm. Course

(iii) 5 years B.Arch. Course

(iv) 4 years BHMCT Course

(v) 4 years BFAD Course

(vi) 4 years BFA Courses

(vii) 3 years MCA Course

(viii) 2 years MBA Course 

DIRECT ADMISSION (LATERAL ENTRY) TO SECOND YEAR OF B.TECH./ B.PHARM./MCA

(i) The eligible candidates (Refer clause 3.3) seeking direct admission to second year of B.Tech. (for engineering diploma holders and B.Sc. graduates) or B.Pharm. (Only for pharmacy diploma holders) or MCA (for BCA, B.Sc (IT/ Computer Science) degree holders) in institutions affiliated to AKTU, Lucknow are required to submit the application forms by the last date. Such candidates are also required to appear in the specified paper of entrance examination.

(ii) Such seats are limited to a maximum of 20% of previous year sanctioned intake in institutions/ colleges for different courses at first year level.

(iii) However for B.Tech., the students belonging to the B.Sc. stream shall be considered ONLY AFTER filling the seats in this category with students of Diploma stream.

(iv) Direct admission to Second year shall not be made in B.Arch./BHMCT/BFAD/BFA/MBA/Courses.

For admission to first year of B.Tech./ B.Pharm., candidate must have clearly passed intermediate examination of U.P. Board or 10+2 level examination or its equivalent from any recognized Board / University without grace in required each compulsory subjects and one optional subject asgiven in information brochure of UPSEE - 2017, and securing minimum 45% marks (40% marks for SC/ST Category candidates) in aggregate in required three subjects.

Compulsory subject for B Pharm-Physics & Chemistry

For admission to first year of BHMCT/BFAD/BFA, candidate must have clearly passed intermediate examination of U. P. Board or 10+2 level examination or its equivalent from any recognized Board / University and securing minimum 45% marks without grace (40% marks for SC/ST category candidates) in aggregate.

For admission to first year of B. Arch., a candidate must have clearly passed intermediate examination of U. P. Board or 10 + 2 level examination or its equivalent from any recognized Board / University and securing (i) minimum 50% marks in aggregate and (ii) clearly passed without grace, each compulsory and optional subjects as given information brochure UPSEE 2017.

 A candidate possessing three years Diploma in Architecture (10+3) recognized by Central / State Govt., is also eligible for admission to first year of B. Arch. only, provided the candidate has passed the Diploma examination securing minimum 50% marks in aggregate without grace. Such candidates will have to appear in the entrance examination for first year of B. Arch. Paper 4.

All candidates who are eligible for admission in B.Tech. Courses are also eligible for B.Tech. (Agriculture Engineering) and B.Tech. (Biotechnology).

Compulsory subject for B. Arch- Mathematics & Physics  

Compulsory subject for B.Tech.- (Agriculture Engg.) Agriculture discipline.  

BHMCT / BFAD/BFA- Any discipline.

For admission to first year of MBA in any institution affiliated to AKTU, Lucknow, a candidate must have passed Bachelors degree course of three years minimum duration from any recognized Indian University; or its equivalent, recognized by A.I.U securing minimum 50% (45% for SC/ST) marks in aggregate.

For admission to first year of MCA in any institution affiliated to AKTU, Lucknow, a candidate must have passed Bachelors degree course of three years minimum duration from any recognized Indian University; or its equivalent, recognized by A.I.U. securing minimum 50% (45% for SC/ST) marks in aggregate. Candidate must have passed Mathematics at 10+2 level or Graduation level.

For admission to first year of MBA/MCA in other Universities of U.P., a candidate must have passed Bachelor degree course with the eligibility conditions given in following table subject to the confirmation received from the concerned University.

For Admission to first year of MAM Course (Dual degree), a candidate must have passed Intermediate examination of U.P. Board or 10+2 level examination or its equivalent from any recognized Board/ University and securing minimum 45% marks without grace (40% marks for SC/ST category candidates) in aggregate.

The Examination Fee for UPSEE-2017 Online Application is as follows:

For Male / Transgender Candidates of General/ OBC Category : Rs. 1000.00 (INR)

For SC/ST Category and Female Candidates/ Physically Handicapped Candidates of All the category :  Rs. 500.00 (INR)

 The examination fee has to be submitted On-Line through Credit/debit Card/ Net Banking while submitting the On-Line Application. Please note that the bank may additionally charge service charges plus applicable taxes while making the payment through Credit/Debit card/ Net banking.

The On-Line application form submission consists of following three simple steps.

EXAMINATION DETAILS

UPSEE-2017 will be conducted for eleven papers with objective multiple type questions except Drawing Aptitude test (Part B of paper 4). The candidates are required to opt papers and subjects for appearing in the entrance examination as mentioned in clause 4.3, subject to their eligibility as per clause 3. Paper 1, Paper 2, Paper 3 and Paper 4 shall be OMR based Test only. Paper 5, Paper 6, Paper 7, Paper 8, Paper 9, Paper 10 and Paper 11 will be Computer Based Test only.
