Common Post Graduate Entrance Tests (CPGET) -2021 (earlier called OUCET) examination is being conducted by Osmania University for admissions into various Post graduate degree (MA, MSc, MCom, etc.) courses, PG Diploma courses and 5 years Integrated Programs (MA, MSc, MBA) offered by Osmania, Kakatiya, Telangana, Mahatma Gandhi, Palamuru, Satavahana and Jawaharlal Nehru Technological Universities for the Academic year 2021-2022

Examination Pattern of CPGET – 2021

1. The entrance tests in all the subjects will be of 90 minutes duration the question paper consists of 100 objective (multiple choice only) type questions for 100 marks.

2. The entrance test will consist of any 3 or 4 varieties of objective type items such as analogies, classification, matching, comprehension of a research study / experiment / theoretical point of view, etc., with multiple answers besides the usual multiple choice items. The items will be framed only from the syllabus of entrance test.

3. Pattern of Entrance Test for Admission into M.Sc. Biochemistry, Environmental Science, Forensic Science, Genetics and Microbiology is as follows. Candidates have to appear for a common entrance test, namely BCESFSG&M comprising of Part-A (Chemistry for 40 Marks) and Part-B (One of the optional studied at B.Sc. level among the optional subjects: Physics, Botany, Zoology, Genetics,

Microbiology and Biochemistry) for 60 Marks.

Pattern of Entrance Test for Admissions into M.Sc.Bio-Technology comprising of Part-A (Chemistry for 40 marks) and part-B (Bio Technology for 60 Marks).

M.A: Any Graduate (except oriental) with 40% marks or equivalent CGPA

Journalism & Mass Communication: Any Graduate with 40% marks or equivalent CGPA

M.Lib.I.Sc: Any Graduate with 40% marks or equivalent CGPA.

MSW: Any Graduate (except oriental) with 40% marks or equivalent CGPA

Master of Human Resource Management: Any Graduate with 40% marks or equivalent CGPA

Master of Tourism Management: Any Graduate with 40% marks or equivalent CGPA

M.Com: B.Com. Graduate with 40% marks or equivalent CGPA (A pass in the qualifying examination is sufficient for SC / ST candidates)

M.Ed: B.Ed. Degree with 55% Marks (50% for SC/ST/BC candidates) or equivalent CGPA

M.Sc: Must have obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) Degree in relevant steam as an optional and must have studied a minimum of 30 credits in relevant stream

or
Must have obtained a BSc Degree with 40% marks with Botany subject as an optional. The candidate must have studied Botany at least four papers of 100 marks each

P.G. Diploma in Child Psychology: Any W omen candidate possessing a degree in any Faculty of this University or any other University recognized as equivalent there to.

PG Diploma in Geographical Cartography:

i) B.A., B.Sc., M.A., or M.Sc. degree of a recognized University in Geography, Geology, Economics, Statistics or Mathematics with 40% of marks in the aggregate or

ii) Five year Diploma in Architecture, Fine Arts or Commercial Arts with a minimum of 40% marks in the aggregate or

iii) Bachelor of Architecture or

iv) Graduate of any University with 40% of marks in the aggregate with at least one year experience in mapping in a Government / Quasi Government Institution.

PG Diploma in Psychological Counselling

B.A. Psychology / B.Ed ./ Degree or Diploma in Rehabilitation Psychology / B.Sc. Nursing / B.S.W . / M.Sc. Home Science with Child Development / Bachelor Degree in Physiotherapy / Bachelor of Medicine / Bachelor of Law / P.G. Diploma in Marriage and Family Counselling / P. G. Diploma in Child Psychology / P. G. Diploma in Personal Management and Industrial Relations. For applying to the course, a minimum of 40% marks in qualifying examination is required.

PG Diploma in Sericulture: Candidates must have passed B.Sc. (Botany, Zoology, Chemistry)

Debit Card /Net Banking

1. If you choose the payment using Debit Card / Net Banking mode, go through the Instruction booklet carefully and be ready with ALL the required details for ONLINE SUBMISSION.
2. Click on “MAKE PAYMENT” button and proceed by filling the required details

You will be redirected to the Payment Gateway site Note down the “Payment Reference Id.” for future correspondence.

Note: During the Payment process, do not click on Back / Refresh buttons. Also do not close the Browser page abruptly.

After your Payment is successful, (A “Payment Reference Id.” Will appear on the screen. Note down the “Payment Reference Id.” Then proceed with the “Application Form” filling process

The registration is complete only when the candidates enter the required primary information including the number of entrance tests to be taken and the requisite registration fee is paid.

The registration fee may be paid at any T.S./ A.P. online centres or by using Credit / Debit Cards or by Net Banking. Once the registration is completed successfully, the candidate will receive a Registration ID, which should be preserved by the candidate for logging in to fill the online application and for future use, if any.

SUBMISSION OF ONLINE APPLICATION FORM:

Before submission of online application, the candidates must keep ready the scanned copies of latest pass port size colour photograph, his / her signature, the certificates of caste, income (If applicable), Aadhaar number and PH certificate (If applicable). These scanned copies have to be uploaded while filling up online application.

The candidate has to login to website, websites www.osmania.ac.in, www.tscpget.com, www.ouadmissions.com, www.cpget.tsche.ac.in. using their registration ID, registered mobile number and date of birth to fill and submit the Online Application.

Before submitting the online application, the candidate must view and verify the application to ensure that all the entries, including the uploaded photograph and the signature, are correct. The candidate must also take a printout of the application for future reference. The candidate will be held personally responsible for any incorrect / inconsistent entries in the online application form. The University reserves the right to cancel the admission at any stage if the particulars furnished by the candidate are found to be incorrect.

Note: It is proposed to issue ID cards to all admitted candidates in University Colleges by incorporating relevant data, including the photograph, uploaded by the candidates themselves at the time of online submission of application. It is proposed that the same cards be used at colleges and hostels. Therefore, the candidates are advised to be careful while uploading the data, including photograph.

Issue of Halltickets: The Hall Tickets along with entrance schedules and necessary instructions will be made available in OU websites, www.osmania.ac.in, www.tscpget.com, www.ouadmissions.com, www.cpget.tsche.ac.in at least one week before the commencement of entrance tests. The candidates have to download the Hall Tickets and affix a latest passport size photograph (which is exactly similar to the one uploaded in the Online Application) in the space provided and get itself attested. Without the Hall Ticket (with self attested photograph), the candidate is not allowed to appear for entrance test.

Results:

1. The results of the entrance tests will be made available in the websites, www.osmania.ac.in, www.tscpget.com, www.ouadmissions.com, www.cpget.tsche.ac.in.

2. The candidates will be admitted into a course/subject based on the ranks secured in the concerned Common Post Graduate Entrance Tests (CPGET) subject to rules of reservations. In case of a tie in the rank, the order of merit will be decided on the basis of:

a) Age of the candidate (senior in age will be getting higher priority).

b) Percentage of marks secured by the candidate in qualifying examination.
