Admission to VIT’s B. Tech programs is based on the VIT Engineering Entrance Examination (VITEEE).

 The exam is a computer based test (CBT) that is held in centers across the country and abroad. Questions are based on the specified syllabus with options to attempt papers in either Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English (PCM) or Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English (PCB).

VIT group of institutions are VIT Vellore, VIT Chennai, VIT Amaravati in AP and VIT Bhopal in Madhya Pradesh.

All Questions will be of Multiple Choice Question (MCQ):

Part-III-Mathematics / Biology

Part-IV - English

Dates of examination (VITEEE-2024): 19th- 30th April 2024 (Tentatively)

The duration of the Entrance Examination will be of 2 hours and 30 minutes.

The applicant should be a Resident / Non Resident Indian National / PIO.

Foreign Candidates studied/studying abroad can apply directly through foreign category only at https://vit.ac.in/admissions/international/overview (application link will be enabled shortly)

Candidates should have passed 10+2 in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/ Biology, obtained minimum 60% in the qualifying examination (10+2/Intermediate).

50 % for SC/ST, Candidates hailing from Jammu and Kashmir and the North Eastern states of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura.

CERTIFICATE TO PROVE NATIVITY should be produced at the time of counselling, failing which they will not be considered for admission.

Age Limit: Candidates whose date of birth falls on or after 1st July 2003 are eligible to apply for VITEEE-2024.

The date of birth as recorded in the High School / SSC / X Certificate will be considered authentic.

Candidates should produce this certificate in original as a proof of their age at the time of counselling, failing for which they will be disqualified.
