MHT CET 2023 ( Maharashtra Common Entrance Test) is a state-level entrance exam conducted for admission into Technical Education Courses - B.E/ B.Tech/ B.Pharmacy/ Pharm.D/ Agriculture Courses/ Fisheries Science/ Dairy Technology courses under MAFSU.

Pattern of MHT CET 2023

Mode of Exam : Online Mode

Syllabus:  Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology

Test based: On Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education

Approximately 20% weightage will be given to Std. XI curriculum and 80% weightage will be given to Std. XII

Marking:  No Negative Marking

Duration: 90 Minutes.

Total Marks: 100

MHT-CET will consist of 3 question papers of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) and each paper will be of 100 marks.

Eligibility

The candidate who wishes to appear for MT CET must have pass 10+2 from any recognized board in India.

The candidate must possess a minimum aggregate of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Maths.

The minimum marks requirement for the SC/ ST/ OBC candidates is 45%.

Syllabus

Syllabus, Weightage and Pattern of Examination: Syllabi of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology for the MHT - CET 2023, is prepread by Director, Technical Education, Mumbai vide Letter 2A/ADM/CET Syllabus 2022/15, Dated 11/01/2022 is as follows: 

The questions will be based on Syllabus of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education.

Approximately 20% weightage will be given to Std XI curriculum and 80% weightage will be given to Std. XII curriculum while setting the question paper.

There will be No Negative Marking, however difficulty level will be at par with JEE (Main) for Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and difficulty level for Biology will be at par with NEET.

The questions will be mainly application based.

MHT-CET will consist of 3 question papers of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) and each paper will be of 100 marks.

a) The question will be set ona) Whole Syllabus of Std XII of 2021-2022 of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematicssubjects excluding portion which is deleted by Maharashtra Rajya Pathyapustak NirmitiVa Abhyaskram Sanshodhan Mandal for H. S. C. Examination due to Covid-19 pandemic situation.

b) Syllabus of Std. XI will be as mentioned below:

Physics: Motion in a plane, Laws of Motion, Gravitation, thermal properties of matter, Sound, Optics, Electrostatics, Semiconductors

Chemistry: Some basic concepts of Chemistry, Structure of atom, Chemical Bonding,Redox reactions, Elements of group 1 and 2, States of Matter (Gaseous and Liquids), Adsorption and Colloids (Surface Chemistry), Hydrocarbons, Basic principles of organic chemistry.

Mathematics: Trigonometric II, Straight Line, Circle, Measures of Discription, Probability, Complex Numbers, Permutations and Combinations, Functions, Limits, Continuity. 

Biology: Biomolecules, Respiration and Energy Transfer, Human Nutrition,Excretion and Osmoregulation.

For General Category Candidates from Maharashtra State, Outside Maharashtra State (OMS), J & K Migrant candidates 

Rs. 800/-

For Candidates of Backward Class Categories [SC, ST, VJ/DT- NT(A), NT(B), NT(C), NT(D), OBC, SBC] and Persons with Disability Candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only.

Category of Candidate with Late Fees

For General Category Candidates from Maharashtra State, Outside Maharashtra State (OMS), J & K Migrant candidates 

Rs. 800/- + Rs. 500/-= Rs. 1,300/- Total

Admission process

Application Form for MHT-CET 2023 will be filled through Online Mode (CBT-ComputerBased Test) only.

Step 1.

To apply for MHT-CET examination, Candidate need to enter the following URL: https://cetcell.mahacet.org/

Click new user, enter detail

You wil get unique user id and password on registered emial-id or contact numb.

Step 2.

Fill up application form by providing personal and academic details

Upload  recent Photograph and Signature.

Step 3.

Pay application fee

There are two method to pay fees 

  • Challan: Take the Print of Challan and pay Fees in Bank.
  • Online: When Candidate Select the Online mode, then Candidate is able to pay the Fees by using the Debit card, Credit Card, Net Banking.

If candidate wants to take print out of payment receipt, Need to click on Print Receipt Button.

Download Admit Card:

For downloading Admit Card, Candidate should visit the website.

 The candidate can download his/her admit card for MHT-CET 2023 from his/her Log-In ID.

Issue of Admit Card is merely an enabling document for appearing at the MHT-CET 2023 and does not imply that the candidate satisfies all the requirements of eligibility conditions of admission.

The center once allotted shall not be changed under any circumstances. If the candidateopted for both the groups i.e. PCM (Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics) and PCB (PhysicsChemistry and Biology), he/she may get the different examination centers for the different groupsi.e. for PCM they may get one examination center and for PCB they may get another ExaminationCenter in case of online examination.

Qualifying Marks

Candidate should secured a minimum aggregate of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Maths.
