Lovely Professional University is conducting National Entrance and Scholarship Test (LPUNEST-2017) for B.Tech aspirants. Students studying in 12th class can apply for LPUNEST-2017. LPUNEST was started in 2009 and became one of the largest entrance test in India just in 5 years with approximately 3 lakh students registering for the same in 2014.

The Test will be conducted in online mode (Pen and Paper Mode test is not allowed)

This test will have twofold advantage as it will act as Eligibility Test as well as Scholarship Test.

Eligibility Test: LPUNEST-2017 will provide a gateway to all engineering programmes in LPU and will act as Entrance test for admission in Engineering Programmes at LPU. For details, refer “Eligibility”.

Scholarship/ Financial Aid: LPU envisages to usher an era of accessible and affordable quality higher education to the youth of our country, as on the basis of LPUNEST-2017 score, the university intends to award extensive Scholarship & Financial Aid upto 5 lac per student. Question Paper pattern for LPUNEST-2017

Physics                30 questions

Chemistry           30 questions

Mathematics     30 questions

Biology                 30 questions

Applicants can opt for either Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics or Physics, Chemistry, Biology. Language of the entrance test shall be English only.Each question carries four marks. There will be no negative marking for wrong answers or unanswered questions

Nationality- Only Indian Nationals are eligible to apply for LPUNEST-2017

Qualifying Examination- Applicants appearing for LPUNEST-2017 should have either completed or shall be appearing in 2016, in final examination of 10 + 2 from CBSE, New Delhi or ICSE, New Delhi or State Board or any other Council, Institution, college etc. declared recognised by Council of Boards of School Education (COBSE), New Delhi or any other concerned apex body as applicable.         

Eligibility Criteria in the Qualifying Examination

For admission in B.Tech, B.Tech (Hons.), Integrated B.Tech - M.Tech and Integrated B.Tech - MBA applicant should Score 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 or equivalent (with Physics, Mathematics and English)* subject to valid score in LPUNEST–2017.

Applicant should fill the personal information. 

It is mandatory to provide valid email id.

Applicant Name, Date of Birth and email id cannot be changed. Hence provide correct information

On submitting the information requested in step 1(a), a confirmatory message containing application id and password, will be sent on mail and phone.

Applicants are requested to note down the application number.

All the future correspondence will be made on the application number only .

Payment Details-For making payment through Online Mode, Applicant can use any of the following option

• Internet Banking facility
• Debit Card
• Credit Card

For making payment through Ofline Mode (Demand Draft), Applicant needs to follow the following steps-

Take a printout (Laser or inkjet only) of the completed application  on a good quality A4 size paper.

Enclose a demand draft for 500/- drawn in favour of Lovely Professional University Payable at Jalandhar.

Applicant should write “Application for LPUNEST-2017”, his / her Name and Mobile Number on the back side of the Demand Draft.

Paste a recent passport size colour photograph, affix signature of Applicant and send in good quality envelope to the address below-

Please keep a photocopy of the filled-in application and Demand Draft for future reference.

Entrance examination dates: 10th  – 30th  April 2017

Online Registration opens: 1st week of November 2016

Last date to apply : 28th  February, 2017

Slot booking for online examination :  1st March 2017 onwards

Result:    4th May, 2017

Online Counselling and Seat Allocation:   5th May 2017 onwards

Last Date of Admission on the basis of LPUNEST : 31st May 2017
