The Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), which is now known as Ministry of Education (MoE), Government of India (GOI) has established the National Testing Agency (NTA) as an independent, autonomous, and self-sustained premier testing organization under the Societies Registration Act (1860) for conducting efficient, transparent and international standards tests in order to assess the competency of candidates for admissions to premier higher education institutions. 

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has been entrusted by the Banaras Hindu University (BHU), with the task of conducting of Postgraduate Entrance Test (PET) 2021.

BHU PET 2021  is  a University level Postgraduate Entrance Test conducted by Banaras Hindu University, Varanai. It is conducted to make admissions in following course according to merit in the PET.

Candidates MUST bring the following documents on the day ofexamination at the test centre

Admit Card along with Undertaking downloaded from the NTA website (a clear printout on A4 size paper)

Any one of the original and valid Photo Identification Proof issued by the government – PAN card/Driving License/Voter ID/12th Class Board Admit or Registration card/ Passport/ Aadhaar Card (With photograph)/ EAadhaar/ Ration Card./ Aadhaar Enrolment No. with Photo. All other ID/Photocopies of IDs even if attested/scanned photoof IDs in mobile phone will NOT be considered as valid ID Proof. 

PwD certificate issued by the Competent Authority, if claiming relaxation under PwD category. The scribe must also carry an Undertaking regarding educational qualification, etc, passport size photograph, valid government identity proof and self-declaration regarding COVID-19 (as per above format).

You also need to carry

  • One sanitizer bottle (small)
  • Mask and/or gloves
  • Drinking water in a transparent bottle
  • A simple transparent pen

Eligibility

M.A: Candidate should pass B.A (Hons.)/ B.A under 10+2+3 pattern with at least  of 50% marks in the aggregate including all subjects studied at B.A level except those subjects where only pass marks are required and which do not contribute to the total in the final (Degree)marksheet.

The subject in which candidate wants to take admission must be Hons. subject at B.A. (Hons.) level

Or

a subject studied in allthe three years at B.A level.

MFA:  Candidate should phave passed BFA in the subject concerned (10+2+4 pattern or 10+5 pattern) securing a minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate.

M.Ed: Candidates whish to take admission should have  secured minimum 50% marks or an equivalent grade in

(i) B.Ed

(ii) BA BEd, BSc BEd,

(iii)B.EI.Ed

(iv) D.EI.Ed. with an undergraduate/ postgraduate degree (with 50% marks in each) or any equivalent grade.

The reservation and relaxation for SC/ ST/ OBC/ PWD  is as per Govt rules.

M.Ed-Special Education -Visual ImpairmentCandidate should be

(i) Graduate under 10+2+3 pattern plus B. Ed. -Special Education (Visual Impairment)/ B.Ed. with at least One Year Diploma in Special Education (Visual Impairment)  from recognized institution with minimum 50% marks.

(ii) A student with B.A./  B.Sc./ B.Com./ B.Ed. Spl. Ed. 4 years integrated with visual impairment specialization.

Or

Any Post Graduate Degree plus B.Ed. -Special Education (Visual Impairment)/ B.Ed. with at least One Year Diploma in Special Education (Visual Impairment) from recognized institution with minimum  50% marks.

MTTM: Candiate should have Bachelor's Degree in any discipline under 10+2+3 pattern

Or

equivalent degree with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks. 

M.Lib. & Inf. Sc.:  Candidate should hold Graduate Degree under 10+2+3 pattern securing at least of 50% marks in the aggregate including all subjects studied at Graduate level.

MPEd: Candidate should pass Bachelor of Physical Education (B.P.Ed.) with minimum 50% marks in the aggregate.

Or

Four years Bachelor of Physical Education(Professional) Degree securing minimum 50% marks in the aggregate.

Master of Personnel Management and Industrial Relations : Candidate should have  passed Bachelor's Degree in any discipline under 10+2+3 pattern.

Or

equivalent with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks.

M.Com: Candiate should have passed  B.Com (Hons.)/ B.Com./B.Com.(Hons.)-FMM under (10+2+3) Pattern Securing a minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate including all subjects studies at B.Com. level except those subjects where only pass marks are required & which do not contribute to the total in the Final(degree) mark-sheet.

MCA: Candidate should hold Bachelor's Degree under 10+2+3 pattern in any discipline with at least of 50% marks in the aggregate with Mathematics as one of the subject.

M.Sc.: Candidate should pass B.Sc. (Hons.)/ B.Sc. in relates stream under 10+2+3 pattern securing at least of 50% marks in the aggregate in Science subjects.

LLM:  Candidate should pass 3-Year LLB after Graduation under 10+2+3 pattern or five years LLB under 10+2+5 pattern recognised by the Bar Council of India securing a minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate in LL. B. Degree.

Master of Vocation:  Candidate should pass Graduation with 50% marks in related stream.

Master in Business Economics and Management:  Candidate should have Bachelor's Degree in any discipline (such as BA, B.Com., B.Sc., BBA, B.Tech/ B.E, etc.) under at least (10+2+3) pattern

Or

equivalent with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks.

M.Tech. in Agricultural Engineering: Candidate should pass B.Tech. (Agricultural Engg/Civil Engineering.)/B.E.(Agricultural Engg./Civil Engineering) recognized by the University.

Fees

Application fee for

  • SC/ ST/ PWD: Rs. 400/-
  • Others: Rs. 600/-

If in case Candidate wish to fill more than one application form. Fee payable for each subsequent application (after first application) shall be charged as per reduced rates-

  • Fee for SC/ ST/ PWD: Rs. 200/-.
  • Fee for Others: Rs. 400/-

Application fee can be paid in two ways

a) Online payment through credit card/ debit card through the payment gateway available on the Entrance test portal.

b) Payment in Cash through “Challan” in any branch of HDFC Bank

The candidate will be required to visit any branch of the HDFC Bank of his/ her choice (only during banking hours on any banking day) where he/she will be required to deposit the requisite Fee amount to the Bank.

Admission process

Follow the steps given below to Apply Online:

Step-1: Register for Online Registration using your own Email ID and Mobile No. and note down system generated Application Number.

Step-2: Complete the Online Application Form and note down the system generated Application Number.

Step-3: Upload legible scanned images of: (i) a recent photograph (in jpg/ jpeg file, size 10Kb – 200Kb) either in colour or black & white with 80% face (without mask) visible including ears against white background; (ii) candidate’s signature (file size: 4kb - 30kb)

Step-4: Pay prescribed fee through Net Banking / Debit Card / Credit Card / UPI / Wallet and keep proof of fee paid for future reference.

The Candidates are NOT required to send/ submit the Confirmation Page of Online Application Form (or any document) to NTA.

However, they are advised to retain the following documents with them for any future reference/correspondence:

  • Copy of the Confirmation Page of Online Application Form (Download, save and Print at least 3 copies).
  • Proof of fee paid (Download, save and Print at least 3 copies).
  • Photographs (same as uploaded on the Online Application Form).


Admit Card

The admit card will be uploaded on NTA website https://bhuet.nta.nic.inas per the schedule communicated through the website. Candidates need tocheck the admit card carefully for all particulars e.g. Roll No. Name,Subject Group, Date of Birth, Gender, Examination Centre Name, City,and Category, etc.
