Uttar Banga Krishi Viswavidyalaya (UBKV) offers admission to the following programs for the the academic year 2021-2022

B.Tech (4 year)

Specialization:

• Agricultural Engineering

Seats: 07

Eligibility:  Candiates  pass 10+2 with PCM with minimum 50% marks.

Age:  Minimum age limit is 17 (Seventeen) years as on 31.12.2021. 

Selection Process: Valid Score in WBJEE, JEE Mains.

Lateral Entry- Duration 3 year: Candidates B.Sc. passed  from a recognized university with  minimum 45% marks (40% in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) and having Passed 10+2 standard with Mathematics as a subject are also eligible to apply for the program.

 Or

Pass Diploma Examination from an AICTE approved Institute with minimum 45% marks ( 40% in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) are eligbile.

Selection Process: Valid Score in JELET.

B.Sc. (Hons) (4 year)

Specialization:

• Agriculture
• Horticulture

Eligibility: Candidate must pass 10th recognised board.

Minimum marks shall be obtained 60%.

Applicants under SC/ST and PWD category should have 55% marks in aggregate in Madhyamik (10th) Examination.

And

10+2 or equivalent examination with minimum 60% marks in aggregate along with 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Agriculture/Horticulture.

For SC/ST and PWD candidates, minimum 50% marks in aggregate in the above examination.

Age:  Minimum age limit is 17 (Seventeen) years as on 31.12.2021.

Candidates must be a domicile of West Bengal except ICAR candidates and Kashmiri Migrants.

Selection Process: Admission is based on merit of the previous qualifying exam.

M.Sc. (2 year)

Specialization:

• Agriculture
• Horticulture
• Forestry

Eligibility: Candidate should have 4 year Bachelor's Degree in Agriculture/Horticulture or Forestry from recognised university.

Minimum marks shall be obtained 60%, 55% for reserved category.

Minimum age limit for admission to M.Sc. courses is 21 years as on 31 December of admission year.

An additional 10% of graduations percentage will be given as weightage for UBKV pass out students.

Selection Process: Valid Score in Entrance Test, Conducted by the University. 

Ph.D (3 year)

Specialization:

• Agriculture
• Horticulture

Eligibility: Candidate should hold Master’s Degree in Agriculture /Horticulture / Forestry Science from recognised university/ institute.

Minimum marks shall be obtained 65%, 60% for reserved category.

Minimum age for admission is 23 years as on 31 December of admission year. 

Selection Process: Valid Score in Entrance Exam, Conducted by the University.

• Rs. 1,000/- for General, OBC.
• Rs. 250/- for SC, ST applicants.
• Nil for PWD category (if disability percentage are 40% or above)

Documents required at the time of admission 

a) Original and attested photocopies of

• Admit card/Certificate of Madhyamik (10th), 
• Mark sheet of Madhyamik (10th),
• H.S. (10+2)/equivalent mark sheet,
• WBJEE/ JEE- MAIN /JELET Rank card  (which is applicable) for B.Tech
• Caste certificate (if applicable),
• Mark sheets and certificates of all other examinations passed.
• Marks sheet and certificate of Graduation applying for PG program

b) Original character certificate from the Head of the Institution last attended (Keep one attested copy in your own custody).

c) Original Migration Certificate if applicable.

d)  Gap certificaate countersigned by the guardian is to be submitted by the student.

e) Original Annual Income Certificate of Father/Guardian issued by the competent authority in prescribed proforma

f) 6 copies of passport size color photographs (without attestation)

g) Affidavit to be submitted by the student and guardian separately within seven days from the date of admission as per the prescribed proforma available in the website.

h) A candidate applying against OBC-A/OBC-B category (wherever applicable) must produce anOBC certificate in the prescribed format (available in the University website) issued by thecompetent authority not earlier than 1st April of previous year (2020).
