B.Ed (2 year)

Eligibility: Candidate should be holding Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Arts/Science/Commerce or any other qualifications equivalent from recognised university/ institute.

Minimum marks shall be obtained 55%.

There shall be relaxation of 5% marks in favour of SC/ST and PWD (Persons with disabilities) categories. 

Minimum two years' full time teaching experience on regular basis as Primary/Graduate/Post Graduate teacher in a primary/Secondary/higher/senior secondary school recognised by the respective Board of Primary/Secondary/Higher Secondary/CBSE/ICSE/Directorate of Education or Central or State Government or Union Territory is required to apply for the program. 

Age Limit: Age of the Fresh Candidates as on 30th June of the admission year shall not exceed 38 years and there shallbe relaxation of 5 years in favour of SC, ST and D.A. category candidates.

Reservation: 22% & 6% of total seats shall be kept reserved for SC & ST candidates (both Fresh &Deputed) respectively and D.A. candidates will enjoy a 5% reservation in each of the categories, i.e. inSC, ST and in the Unreserved or UR category.

B.A LLB (5 year)

Eligibility: Candidate shall have to pass 10+2 examination under (10+2) pattern or its equivalent examination securing not below 45% of the total marks in case of general category and 40% of the total marks in case of SC and ST applicants.

Age Limit: The maximum age of a candidate, seeking admission into 5-year B.A. LL.B.(Hons.) Course, shall not exceed 20 (twenty) years on the 1st of July in the relevant year in case of general category and 22 (twenty two) years in case of SC, ST & OBC applicants.

Eligibility: Candidate should hold Degree of B.E. or B. Tech. in Electronics/ Electronics and Telecommunication Engg. /Electronics and Communication Engg./ Radio Physics and Electronics/Applied Electronics/Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering with at least 50% (45% for candidates belonging to reserved categories) marks in aggregate.

Selection Process: GATE- qualified candidates will get preference. A few seats are kept reserved for sponsored candidates fulfilling the basic eligibility and having at least two-year full-time work experience in a Registered Firm/Industry/R&D Institution etc after acquiring the basic eligibility criteria.

Non  GATE candidates may also be considered for admission, if seats are not filled up by the GATE qualified and/or sponsored candidates.

Eligibility: Candidate should hold a BLIS/B. Lib. Sc./recognised equivalent Degree from recognised university.

Selection Process: Admission based on following criteria: For Fresher category:

A) 10 point of the percentage of Honours Degree.

B) 10 point of the percentage of M.A./M.Sc./M.Com.

C) Percentage of total marks in B.L.I.S. Total = A + B + C.

Eligibility: 

(1)    Candidates holding the Master’s Degree of The University of Burdwan or a professional Degree or a Degree considered to be equivalent to the Master’s Degree of The University of Burdwan in the subject concerned or allied/ relevant subject, with at least 55% marks in aggregate.

(2)    A relaxation of 5% of marks, from 55% to 50% or equivalent relaxation of grade may be allowed for those belonging to SC/ ST/ OBC-A/ OBC-B/ Differently Abled and other categories of candidates as per the decision of the UGC from time to time.

(3)    The eligibility marks of 55% (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) and the relaxation of 5% to the categories mentioned above are permissible based only on the qualification marks without including the grace mark procedures.

BU: Admission Process 2021

Application Fees, as mentioned in the Forms are to be paid either by cash (to be deposited at the University cash counter, Rajbati) or by Demand Draft drawn in favour of Finance Officer, The University of Burdwan payable at S.B.I., Burdwan University Branch.

After filling the second part of application form click on SUBMIT button, which will navigate to the profile page of candidate where candidate can view his/her information. Please note Application Code for future reference.

After submission of the application form, a candidate will receive the application code through SMS/EMAIL.

After submission of the application form, a candidate shall have to upload his/her photo and signature by clicking on the Upload Photo/ Upload signature link in the profile page.

Uploading the photo/ signature is mandatory otherwise the application will be treated as cancelled.

Following the submission of the application form, a candidate shall have to pay the application fees of Rs. 300/- (Rupees three hundred only) for general and Rs. 150/- (Rupees one hundred fifty) for reserved category through online or offline by clicking APPLICATION FEE PAYMENT link.

Keep printed copy of payment confirmation for future reference (if needed).

Candidates are required to produce the following documents in original at the time of documents verification/admission:

• Original Mark-Sheets of all the public examinations passed and original Admit Card of Madhyamik or equivalent examination.
• Schedule Caste/ Schedule Tribes/ OBC-A/ OBC-B/ Differently Abled and Sports Certificate in original issued in favor of the candidates. Details of issuing Authority are given in prospectus.
• Income certificate from the BDO/ SDO.
