Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) offers admissions to the following programs for the academic year 2021-2022

Master Degree Programs

M.A (2 year)

Eligibility:  Candidates should hold Bachelor's Degree of minimum of 3 years duration or its equivalent under the regular study pattern or any other pattern fulfilling the mandatory requirements of 15 years formal education from a recognised university in relevant discipline.

Candidate should be good in English language.

Selection Process: Valid Score in TISSNETGD and Personal Interview.

Reservations for Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST), Other Backward Classes (OBC) andEconomically Weaker Sections (EWS) is as belowe mentioned.

International students interested in applying for the M.A. Human Resource Management and Labour Relations and the M.A. Organisation Development, Change and Leadership programs will require a GMAT score of 650 and above.

Note: Candidates applying for MA (HRM&LR) and / or MA (ODCL) programs, are required to appearfor the TISS Management Aptitude Test (TISS-MAT).

The TISS-MAT will be conducted only for those candidates who are short-listed for stage 2 on the basis of TISS-NET results.

Weightage:

  • TISS-NET: 30%
  • TISS-MAT: 40%
  • Online Personal Interview: 30%
  • Total:  100%

Master of Public Health (MPH) (2 year)

Eligibility: Candidate should hold three years Bachelor's Degree in any discipline, or 

Four years Bachelor's Degree in Medicine, Paramedical Sciences, and other four years program like Pharmacy, Veterinary Sciences, Engineering, Law. 

Candidates who are in their final year in Bachelor's Degree are not eligible to apply.

Selection Process:  Valid Score in TISSNET, GD and Personal Interview.

Master in Hospital Administration (MHA) (2 year)

Eligibility: Candidates should have

(i) successfully completed three years Bachelor's Degree in any discipline, or 

 (iii) Four years Bachelor's Degree in medicine, Paramedical Sciences, or other four years program like Pharmacy, Veterinary Sciences, Engineering, Law. 

(iii) Candidates should have completed their Internship on or before last prescribed date.

(iv) Candidates who are in their final year in Bachelor's Degree are not eligible to apply.

Selection Process:  Valid Score in TISSNET, GD and Personal Interview.

TISS: Master Degree Programs Admission 2021

Candidates shortlisted for personal interview are required to produce original certificate and mark sheet on the date of personal interview, for verifying.

Those who are in the final year but are eligible to apply are required to produce the mark sheets of all previous semesters on the date of personal interview.

Those candidates who are eligible to apply, but cannot submit the Degree certificate and grade/ mark sheet at the time of admission are required to submit these latest by 30 September 2021.

The application fees is Rs. 1000/-  + bank charges.

Rs. 250/-  + bank charges  for ST/SC/OBC .

For SC/ST candidates, the application fee is Rs. 500/- per program + bank charges.

Candidate cand pay application fee by Credit card/ Debit card/ Net Banking.

Note: Candidates can apply for a maximum of three programmes across any two of the TISS Campuses.

If a candidate is found to have filled more than one online form, all his applications will be cancelled.

3. Photograph, Signature, TISS copy of challan (if paid by cash),  Caste / Tribe Certificate for SC / ST (Annual income more than Rs.2.5 lakhs).

4. Photograph, Signature, Income Certificate for the financial year 2019-20, Other Backward Class (Non-Creamy Layer) certificate issued after 01-04-2020 by the District Magistrate / Deputy Commissioner / Tahsildar, TISS copy of challan (if paid by cash) for OBC (NC) (Annual income less than Rs.1 lakh).

6. Other Backward Class (Non-Creamy Layer) certificate issued after 01-04-2020 by the District Magistrate / Deputy Commissioner / Tahsildar. CERTIFICATES dated before April 1, 2020 will not be considered valid for OBC(Non Creamy Layer) (Annual income more than Rs.1 lakh but less than Rs. 8 lakhs).

Diploma and Certificate Programs

PG Diploma (1 year)

Specialization:

  • Counselling
  • Digital Library & Information Management

Eligibility: Candidate should holdind  a Bachelor’s Degree in related discipline from a recognized university, with minimum aggregate marks of 50%. 

In case of Scheduled Castes [SCs] and Scheduled Tribes [STs]), minimum marks shall be obtained 40%. 

Fees: Rs. 33,900/- To Rs. 75,000/- Total


 

Executive PG Diploma in Hospital Administration (EPGDHA) (1 year) 

Eligibiity: Candidate should hold Medical degrees (Allopathic, Ayurvedic, Homeopathy, Unani, Sidha and Dentistry), BSc Nursing, Post BSc Nursing, paramedical and allied health degrees in the fields of pharmacy, physiotherapy, occupational therapy and other paramedical disciplines.

Minimum marks shall be obtained 45%, 35% for Scheduled Castes [SCs], Scheduled Tribes [STs] and OBC) or a Postgraduate Degree in any discipline. 

Candidate should be currently working in a hospital. 

Other Bachelor’s Degrees like Engineering, Law and in any discipline and minimum 2 year work experience in hospitals.

Candidates who belong to any age group shall apply for this program. 

Candidates Sponsored by hospitals will be given preference in admission.

Executive PG Diploma in Human Resources Management (EPGDHRM) (1 year) 

Eligibility: Applicants should have completed their Bachelor’s Degree of minimum of 3 years duration or its equivalent from a recognised university, in any discipline.

Minimum  3 years of work experience after graduation in managerial or supervisory category, preferably in personnel/administration department. 

Fees: Rs. 3,50,000/- Total 


 

Executive PG Diploma in Organisational Development & Change (1 year) 

Eligibility: Candidate should hold  Bachelor’s Degree of minimum of 3 years duration or its equivalent from a recognised university, in any discipline. 

Minimum 3 years of work experience after graduation is required. 

Fees: Rs. 4,00,000/- Total


 

Executive PG Diploma in Analytics (EPGDA) (1 year)

Eligibility: Applicants should have completed their Bachelor’s Degree of minimum of 3 years duration or its equivalent from a recognised university, in any discipline. 

Having at least 2 years of work experience after graduation.

Fees: Rs. 2,00,000/- Total


 

Diploma in Counselling Skills (1 year)

Medium of Instruction: English.

Age: 25 years and above.

Graduation in any discipline from a recognized university. 

Preference will be given to Working Professionals with 2 or more years of relevant work experience in the social section and people oriented professions such as Social Work, Education, Health and Law and Human Resource Management.

Fees: Rs. 57,800/ Total


 

Diploma in Gerontology (1 year)

Eligibility: Medium of Instruction: English. 

Pass in 10+2 Standard.
 
Age Criteria: All candidates must be 25 years or on 1st June of the year of admission for the Diploma Programs.
 
Other Criteria: Preference would be given to those who are working in social work organisations and have two years of work experience.

Fees: Rs. 28,900/- Total


 

Diploma in Youth Leadership and Social Change (1 year)

Medium of Instruction: English.

Eligibility: Minimum eligibility is 10+2 standard.

Age: Minimum age shall be 18 years.

Fees: Rs. 39,300/- Total


 

Certificate Programs (6 Months) 

Certificate Program in Counselling Skills Program: Entry requirements No previous training or experience in Counselling / Counseling Skill required.

Medium of Instruction: English

Age: 25 and above

 

Certificate Program in Couple and Family Therapy: Completed Masters in Psychology or Masters in Social Work from a recognised university. Minimum three years of experience as a counsellor and with some background of working with couple and family issues Been currently involved in psychosocial interventions with couples and families. 

Medium of Instruction: English. 

 

Certificate Program in Disaster Management: Candidate should have a Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized university, with minimum aggregate marks of 50 %. 

In case of SC/ST category, minimum marks shall be obtained 40%.

Candidates  can  apply  for only single program.

The application fees is Rs. 530/-  (if being paid by Credit card/ Debit card/ Net Banking) or Rs. 500/- + bank charges (if being payed through bank by cash). The Candidate has to pay this amount, he applies for. For more details refer to the section 'Application fee payment' below.

A candidate can apply for single program and pay for that program.  Should not fill more than one form.

Candidates must complete the application process in online mode. The online application can be saved at any stage.

The candidate can then return to the application by logging in with the respective user name and password at any time before the submission deadline. Once the application has been submitted online, candidates can choose the mode of payment of the application fees (Credit card, Debit card or net banking).

The application fees is Rs. 1535/-  for General (if being payed by Credit card/ Debit card/ Net Banking) or Rs. 1500/- + bank charges (if being payed through bank by cash).

 Rs. 410/- for ST/SC/OBC (if being payed by Credit card/ Debit card/ Net Banking) or Rs. 375/- + bank charges (if being payed through bank by cash).

A candidate can apply for multiple programs and pay for those programmes in one online form and should not fill more than one form.
