D.E (3 year)
Eligibility: Candidate should pass 10th examination or equivalent.
The student must have obtained at least 35% marks in the qualifying examination.
Students appearing in 10th board examination may also apply.
Lateral Entry- Duration 2 year: 12th Science (with Mathematics as one of the Subject) or 12th Science with Vocational OR 12th Science with Technical.
Or
10th + (2 years ITI) with appropriate Trade in that order shall be eligible for admission to Second Year Diploma Course(s) of appropriate Program.

Eligibility: Candidate should have passed 10+2 examination in Science with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Technical Vocational subject.
Secured at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the above subjects taken together. Students appearing in (10+2 examination) may also apply.
Lateral Entry- Duration 3 year: Hold a Diploma with at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in appropriate branch of Engineering and Technology.
Or
Passed B.Sc. Degree from a recognized university as defined by UGC, with at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) and passed 10+2 examination with Mathematics as a subject.
Provided that the students belonging to B.Sc. Stream, shall clear the subjects Engineering Graphics/ Engineering Drawing and Engineering Mechanics of the First Year Engineering Programme along with the Second year subjects.
Provided that the students belonging to B.Sc. Stream shall be considered only after filling the supernumerary seats in this category with students belonging to the Diploma stream.

BCA (3 year)
Eligibility: Candidate should have passed 10+2 or equivalent with a minimum of 40% (35% in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) and English should be one of the subjects. Students appearing in (10+2 examination) may also apply.
Selection Process: Selection of students of BCA program of Sarala Birla University, Ranchi is purely done on the basis of merit.
However the university reserves the right of amending the admission and selection process.

B.Sc. Nursing (4 year)
Eligibility: Candidate should pass 10+2 exam in any stream.
Minimum marks shall be secured 45% marks in the core/elective/academic subjects taken together and passed English individually.
The above candidates should have passed from recognise board under AISSCE/ CBSE/ ICSE/ SSCE/ HSCE or other equivalent board.
The candidates should have passed from State Open School recognized by State Government and National Institute of Open School (NIOS) recognized by Central Government.
Vocational ANM’s/ RANMs are also eligible.
The minimum age for admission shall be 17 years on 31st December of the year in which admission is sought.
The maximum age limit for admission shall be 35 years.
Selection Process: Admission shall be through Entrance examination. Entrance test shall comprise of:
a) Aptitude for Nursing- 10 marks.
b) General Science -50 marks
c) General knowledge- 20 marks
d) English- 10 marks
e) General ability -10 marks.
Minimum qualifying marks for entrance test shall be 50% marks.

B.Sc. Yogic Science (3 year)
Eligibility: Candidate should pass 10+2 exam from recognised board.
Minimum 50% marks (45% in case of SC/ST category) in 10+2 (Any Stream).
Students appearing in ( 10+2 / Intermediate examination) may also apply.

Selection Process: Selection of students for B.Sc. in Yogic Science Program of Sarala Birla University, Ranchi is purely done on the basis of merit.

Eligibility: Candidate should be a Graduate or equivalent . Students appearing in (Graduation examination) may also apply.

Diploma in Auxiliary Nursing and Midwifery (ANM) (2 year)
Eligibility: Candidate should pass 10+2 in any stream (Mathematics, Physics, Biology, Biotechnology, Economics, Political Science, History, Geography, Business Studies, Accountancy, Home Science, Sociology, Psychology and Philosophy) and English Core/ English Elective or Science or Health Care Science- Vocational stream only passing out from recognized Board.
Student shall be medically fit.
Students qualified in 10+2 Arts or Science examination conducted by National Institute of Open School.
Students shall be admitted once in a year.
The minimum age for admission shall be 17 years on or before 31st December of the year in which admission is sought.
The maximum age for admission shall be 35 years.
Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) (3 year)
Eligibility: Candidate should pass 10+2 exam with English.
Minimum marks shall be secured by the candidate to get admission is 40% at the qualifying examination and English individually for any recognized board. Candidates are also eligible from State Open School recognized Candidates are also eligible from State Open School recognized by State Government and National Institute of Open School (NIOS) recognized by central Government.
However Science is preferable.
10+2 with English having 40% of marks in vocational ANM course from the school recognized by Indian Nursing Council.
10+2 with English having 40% of marks in Vocational Stream-Health care Science from a recognized CBSE board/ Centre.
Registered ANM with pass mark.
For foreign nationals
The entry qualification equivalency i.e., 12th standard will be obtained by Association of Indian Universities, New Delhi. Institution, State Nursing Council will be responsible to ensure that the qualification and eligibility will be equivalent to what has been prescribed as above.
Reservation:
For disabled candidates: 3% Disability reservation to be considered with a disability of locomotor to the tune of 40% to 50% of the lower extremity and other eligibility criteria with regard to age qualification will be same as prescribed for each nursing programme.
Note : A committee to be formed consisting of medical officer authorized by medical board of state government and a nursing expert in the panel which may decide whether the candidates have the disability of locomotor of 40% to 50%.
5% is relaxed for SC/ST candidates.
Any other quotas as per the State Govt. under the reservation policy.
Note: Quotas shall be included in the seats sanctioned and not above it.
Admission of students shall be once in a year.
Students shall be medically fit.
Minimum age for admission will be 17 years.(as on 31st December of that year) The upper age limit is 35 yrs. For ANM / for LHV, there is no age bar

Eligibility: Candidates with following qualification shall be eligible for admission to the Ph.D. Program of the University:
a) Candidate should hold a Degree of M.Tech./M.E./M.Sc.(Engg.)/ M.Sc /MCA / MBA / MA or equivalent in relevant branch from a recognized University with minimum 55% marks or 6.0 CGPA on a ten point scale in the qualifying examination are eligible to apply for admission in the relevant departments.
b) Sponsored candidates must have minimum of two years of professional work experience, besides fulfilling the above criteria. In addition, such candidates should have valid sponsorship at least for three years.
Eligibility criteria will be relaxed by 5% marks for SC / ST candidates.
Selection Process: Selection in the Ph.D. program shall be based on the performance in an Online Entrance Test, Previous academic record and an Interview. Only such candidates, who obtain the minimum required marks in Online Entrance Test and the indicated total percentage of marks, will be considered for final preparation of result as given below.
General: 40%
SC/ ST: 35%
Those with UGC-CSIR/ DBT/ BINC/ ICMR-JRF/ DSTINSPIRE/ NET/ SET/ GATE and all other similar all India fellowships based on a written test may be exempted from the Entrance Test but will be required to appear in the interview.

they may also download the application form from the website of the university and may submit along with the relevant documents to the Information Centre of the University, students may also walk down to the University campus along with relevant documents to the Information centre for counselling and further admission process.
Applicants may submit the application form and required documents at the Admission Office personally or by post.
It is the applicant's responsibility to ensure that the application form is complete in all respects, and is accompanied by the required documents.

- Candidates with qualifications acquired through correspondence or distance-learning programs are eligible only if (a) they acquired such qualifications as working professionals / while in employment, (b) the programmes are recognized by the DEC- UGC-AICTE or MHRD, (c) they have passed the qualifying examination at the time of applying, with minimum requisite marks as given in eligibility criteria. They must enclose photocopies of (i) work experience certificate (ii) pass certificate and marksheets of qualifying examination (iii) proof of the programme recognized by the DEC-UGC-AICTE or MHRD in letter head of the University/College /University, with theirapplication.
- UGC-CSIR/ DBT/ BINC/ ICMR-JRF/ DSTINSPIRE and all other similar all India fellowships based on a written test for pursuing Ph.D. Admit card and Score card (if applicable)
- Caste certificate / special category certificate (if applicable) in proper format, signed by appropriate authority.
- Sponsorship letter, NOC, Experience Certificate and Facilities available to carry out the research work at their place of working (if applicable) for Sponsored / Part- Time candidates.
All candidates belonging to the SC and ST categories must note and obtain caste certificates which should be in proper format and should be signed by appropriate authority of rank not less than SDO.
Note: Final reservation proportion will depend on notification, if any, issued by competent authority and as accepted by the University.
Candidates belonging to Persons with Disability [PwD] category must send photocopy of relevant certificate(s) in proper format signed by appropriate authority.
The Admissions Office / concerned Departments may not undertake detailed scrutiny of applications before verification of documents, and all shortlisted applicants called for Entrance Test are allowed to appear in the Test on purely provisional basis, subject to their eligibility being verified at the time of interviews. Merely being allowed to appear in the Test will not be considered as a ground for being eligible for admission to the Ph.D. program.
Further, mere submission of application form does not entitle a candidate to appear for the Test.
