Rabindra Bharati University (RBU) offers following programs for the academic year 2022-2023

BLISc  (1 year)

Eligibility: 

 (a) For Fresher candidate:  Candidate should be Graduated with hons (10+2+3 pattern) or Master’s degree (with honours) or a degree in a technical degree (of the pattern 10+2+4 or 10+2+5) such as Engineering, Computer Application, Pharmacy, Law etc. of any other University or Institute recognized by this University.

(b) For deputed candidate: Candidate should be Graduated  with honours and working experience as a full-time salaried staff in any Govt./ Govt. aided Libraries/recognized institution (Govt. or semi Govt.).

(c) For Certificate holders in Library Science: Graduation with honours with certificate in Library Science.

Selection Process: On the basis of merit in the last qualifying examination.


 

B.A (Hons) (3 year)

Specialization:

  • English

  • History
  • Philosophy
  • Political Science
  • Sanskrit

Eligibility: Pass 10+2 from recognised board.


 

B.Ed (1 year)

Eligibility: Hold Bachelor's Degree Exam  / Post graduate from any recognized university with  minimum 50% marks either in under Graduate and or / post Graduate level (45% for SC, ST).


 

B.Ed Spl. Education (1 year)

Eligibility:  Candidate should hold Bachelor's Degree with minimum 50%.

In case of SC/ ST/ OBC / PH, minimum marks shall be obtained 45%.

Or

Master’s Degree in Social Sciences/Humanities/ Sciences, Bachelor’s in Engineering or Technology with specialization in Science and Mathematics with 55%.

In case of SC/ST/OBC/PH, minimum marks shall be obtained 45%.

Selection Process: On the basis of merit in the last qualifying examination.


 

BFA (4 year)

Specialization:

  • Painting
  • Sculpture
  • Graphics- Printmaking
  • History of Art
  • Applied Art

Eligibility: Candidate should pass 10+2 from recognised board. 

Selection Process: On the basis of merit in the last qualifying examination. 

Reservation of seats for the reserved categories of ST/SC/OBC-A&B/PWD(PH) will be as per the West Bengal Higher Educational Institutions (Reservation in Admission) Rules, 2013. 

Reserved category candidate whose Reservation Certificate issued by the Competent authority, Govt. of West Bengal are only will be treated as reserved category.

Fees: Rs. 1,665/- First Semester


 

MLISc (1 year)

Eligibility: Candidate should hold Bachelor's of Library and Information Science preceded by Graduation with honours (10+2+3 pattern) or Master’s Degree (with honours) from any UGC recognized university.

Graduation with honours or Master's Degree such as s Engineering, Computer Application, Pharmacy, Law etc. from any U.G.C recognized University or Institute.

Minimum qualifying marks would be 40%.

In case of SC/ST/PH 35% & 36% for OBC-A/OBC-B.

Selection Process: Admission will be on merit basis.


 

MFA (2 year)

Specialization:

  • Painting
  • Sculpture
  • History of Art
  • Graphics - Printmaking and Applied Art

Eligibility: Candidate should hold BFA / BVA in Painting or allied Art subject from any UGC recognized university.

Minimum marks shall be obtained 50%.

Relaxation up to 10% for SC/ ST/PH candidates.

Selection Process: Valid score in Admission Test, Conducted by the University.

Fees: Rs. 1,965/- First Semester

Eligibility: Candidate should pass B.A (Hons) in related discipline from recognised board.

Selection Process: Marks in the Graduation Degree.

M.A. in Human Rights & Human Development and Museology selection will be on the basis of marks obtained in admission test conducted by the university.

Reservation of seats for the reserved categories of ST/SC/OBC-A&B/PWD(PH) will be as per the West Bengal Higher Educational Institutions (Reservation in Admission) Rules, 2013.

Reserved category candidate whose Reservation Certificate issued by theCompetent authority, Govt. of West Bengal are only will be treated as reserved category.

First Semester Fee:

Bengali, English, History, Political Science, Sanskrit and Philosophy: Rs. 1,765/- 

Economics: Rs. 1,965/- 

Education: Rs. 3,015/-

Journalism and Mass Communication: Rs. 6,415/-

Geography , Environmental Studies: Rs. 6,815/-

Hindi, Sociology, Human Rights and Human Development Studies: Rs. 5,815/- 


 

MSW (2 year)

Eligibility: Candidate should hold B.A /B.Sc. (Hons) Degree in any subject from any UGC recognized university.

Selection Process: Marks in the Graduation Degree.

Fees: Rs. 10,568/- First Year


 

Rabindra Bharati University (RBU) Admission Process 2022

Candidate should visit official website of the college to apply online by registring first.

During registration, applicant has to fill an e-mail id and a mobile number, these must be valid.

After registration, login id and the password will be sent to the registered e-mail id and mobile number.

After successful login, applicant will be required to select course(s) he / she may wish to apply and check the eligibly first. Once found eligible he / she can fill up rest of the Admission Form.

Upload scanned Photograph and Signature during filling up the admission form.

After filling up all required information to submit the same, applicant must agree with the given declaration, clicking on check box. It is important to note that, once it is submitted, the information already entered cannot be altered under any circumstances

Applicant should download or take pring out of the filled up form up ‘Application Form’ bearing the AIN (Application Identification

Number) and his / her other information relating to instructions for payment of Application Processing Fees through Payment Gateway.

The automatically generated AIN (Application Identification Number) number shall be treated as unique identification number for an application during the admission process. Therefore, any Application Form erroneously downloaded and printed without automatically generated AIN (Application Identification Number) will not be accepted under any circumstances.

After successful Submission of the application, applicant will be able to download or take print out of the filled up ‘Application Form’ bearing the AIN (Application Identification Number) and his / her other information relating to instructions for payment of Application Processing Fees through Payment Gateway. Application shall be summarily rejected, if payment is not made as per instructions given in the auto-generated Instruction Sheet for Payment.

Step.1: The Applicant will be asked to click on the Payment Button. Once it is clicked on the Payment Button, the applicant will be redirected to the Payment Gateway for payment of requisite Application Processing Fees.

Step.2: Any one of the following methods for payment of Application Processing.

1. Online payment through Net Banking or Credit Cards or Debit Cards of any bank.

2. Through NEFT: A Pay-in-slip will have to be generated. The candidate can submit the fees.

through NEFT in any branch of the Bank in which he/she has his/her Bank Account.

Step.3: After payment of fees through any one of the aforesaid methods, the candidate is advised to log in again into the admission portal with his/her log in id and passwords and see payment history .

The applicant is not required to submit the hard copy of duly filled-in downloaded ApplicationForm to the University. However, the hard copy of duly filled-in downloaded Application Formalong with self-attested copies of all mark sheets, certificates and other relevant documents and copyof payment receipt will be required only at the later stage during admission test and if the candidateis provisionally selected for admission.

For all subjects other than Journalism and Mass Communication and Human Rights and Human Development: Rs. 200/-+ additional charge of Bank(Rs. 120/- + additional charge of Bank for PWD candidates).

For the subjects- Journalism and Mass Communication and HumanRights and Human Development: Rs. 250/-+ additional charge of Bank (Rs.150/- +additional charge of Bank for PWD candidates).

MLISc Application Processing Fee : Rs. 200/-+ additional charge of Bank (Rs.120/- + additional chargeof Bank for PWD candidates).

BFA Application Processing Fee : Rs. 250/-+ additional charge of Bank (for PWD candidates: Rs.150/- +additional charge of Bank ).

BLISc Application Processing Fee : Rs. 300/-+ additional charge of Bank (Rs.180/- + additional charge of Bank for PWD candidates).
