Nitte Usha Institute of Nursing Sciences (NUINS) offers admission to the following programs for the academic year 2023-2024

General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) (3 year)

Seats: 100

Eligibility:  Candidate should pass 10+2 exam in Science from recognised board.

Minimum marks shall be secured 40%.

The candidate should have completed 17 years of age as on 31st December of the year of admission.

Selection Process: On the basis of merit in the qualifying examination.

Fees: Rs. 56,550/- Per Year

B.Sc. Nursing (4 year)

Seats: 100

Eligibility: Candidate should pass in 10+2 examination in Science with Physics, Chemistry & Biology with English as one of the languages of study.

Minimum marks shall be secured 45%.

The candidate should have completed 17 years of age as on 31st December of the year of admission.

Selection Process: On the basis of merit in the qualifying examination.

Fees: Rs. 1,75,050/- Per Year

P.B.B.Sc. Nursing (2 year)

Seats: 20

Eligibility: Registered Nurse (RN & RM) or equivalent.

Selection Process: On the basis of merit in the qualifying examination.

Fees: Rs. 71,050/- Per Year

Post Basic Diploma in Dialysis Nursing (1 year)

Seats: 02

Eligibility: Candidate should be Registered GNM, BSc (N), PB BSc (N) or MSc (Nursing).

The candidate should have completed 17 years of age as on 31st December of the year of admission.

Selection Process: On the basis of merit in the qualifying examination.

M.Sc. Nursing (2 year)

Specialization:

Seats: 10  each

• Medical Surgical Nursing (3)
• Child Health Nursing (2)
• Mental Health Nursing (2)
• Obstetrics & Gynaecology Nursing (3)

Eligibility: Candidate should hold a Degree of B.Sc. Nursing or Post Basic BSc Nursing from a recognized University with a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate.

The candidate should have a minimum of 1 year work experience after registration with the Nursing Council (in case of BSc Nursing) and in case of PB BSc Nursing, one year after GNM or PB BSc Nursing.

Selection Process: On the basis of merit in the qualifying examination.

Fees:  Rs. 1,13,000/- Per Year

Note: Candidates can get  the admission form from the admission office of NITTE University as well.

Documents required for admission to GNM / BSc (Nursing)

• 10th standard marks card/pass certificate for proof of date of birth (Original + 3  attested  copies)
• 12th standard/equivalent marks card (Original + 3 attested copies)
• Transfer Certificate from the institution last attended (Original + 3 attested copies)
• Conduct Certificate from the institution last attended
• Migration Certificate from the Board of the institution last studied
• Eligibility Certificate issued by Nitte University (This will be handled by Nitte)
• Physical Fitness Certificate from a registered medical practitioner
• Blood Group Certificate
• Aadhaar card copy of the student
• Photographs: Recent colour photo with white background, of resolution 300-600 dpi & size  35 mm x 45 mm (P.P size 5 Nos.) & size 20 mm x 25 mm (Stamp size 5 Nos.)

Additional documents to be produced for admission to PB BSc (N)

• GNM marks cards of all years (Original + 3 attested copies)
• Diploma Certificate (Original + 3 attested copies)
• Registration Certificate issued by the State Nursing Council (Original + 3 attested copies)
• Work experience certificate (if available)

Documents required for admission to M.Sc. Nursing
