National Law School of India University (NLSIU) offers following programs for the academic year 2021-2022

Bachelor of Art (B.A) + Bachelor of Law (LL.B) (5 year)

Seats: 120

Eligibility: A Pass in 10+2 or an equivalent examination with a minimum of

(i) 45% of marks in case of candidates belonging to unreserved/ OBC/ Specially Abled Persons/ NRI/ NRI Sponsored categories and

(ii) 40% of marks in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST categories.

Candidates appearing for the qualifying examination in March/April, 2021 are also eligible to apply. 

There is no age limit for the course.

Selection Process: Valid Score in CLAT.

Seats Distribution:

  • General Category : 93
  • Scheduled Caste : 18 (i.e. 15%)
  • Scheduled Tribe : 9 (i.e. 7.5%)

Fees:  Rs. 1,91,850/- Per Year

LLM (1 year)

Specialization and Seats:

  • Business Law: 30
  • Human Rights Law: 20

Eligibility: Candidate mut hold LLB Degree with a minimum 55%.

 In case of reserved category, minimum marks shall be obtained 50%.

 There is no provision for direct admission of Foreign Nationals into the postgraduate course.

 Selection Process: Valid Score in CLAT.

Fees: Rs. 1,16,100/- Per Year

Ph.D. in Law (3 year)

Eligibility: Candidate should hold LLM Degree.

Minimum marks shall be obtained 55%.

In case of SC/ ST candidate, minimum marks shall be obtained 50%.

Selection Process: Valid Score in Admission Test.

A separate Admission Test shall be conducted to the candidates who have qualified for UGC NET / JRF, SLET, M.PHIL and Foreign Nationals.

M.Phil. in Law (1 year)

Eligibility: a) Candidate should hold LLM Degree from recognized university securing ‘B+’ grade or an aggregate of 55% marks or its equivalent.

 b) Candidate with MPP (Master of Public Policy) through regular mode from a recognized university securing an aggregate of 55% marks or its equivalent grade (50% of marks or its equivalent grade in case of SC/ST/SAP) will be considered for M.Phil. in Public Policy.

Selection Process: Valid Score in Entrance Test.

A separate Admission Test shall be conducted to the candidates who have qualified for UGC NET / JRF, SLET, M.PHIL and Foreign Nationals.

NLSIU: LLM, BA LLB Admission Process 2021

Admission to the BA LLB and LLM program will be through CLAT.

 

Application Fee

For General/OBC/PWD/NRI/PIO/OCI candidates: Rs. 4000/-

For SC/ST/BPL category candidates: Rs. 3500/-

The candidates themselves will have to bear the bank transaction charges for remitting the fee online. The actual bank transaction charges will be displayed in the payment gateway page after you choose the mode of payment.

Application Fees is non-refundable.
