Manipur University of Culture (MUC) offers following programs  for the academic year 2022-2023

B.A (3 year)

Specialization:

Eligibility: Candidate should pass 10+2 examination in any stream or possess an equivalent qualification and has the basic knowledge of the concerned subject with a minimum of a three-year foundation or certificate course from any recognised institution shall be eligible for admission.

Selection of the Candidates for the Admission is made through as follows:

1. A written Test for 50 marks
2. A Practical/Demonstration Test for 35 marks and
3. A Viva-Voce Test of 15 marks.

The Written Test will be for 60 minutes and the Practical/ Demonstration and Viva-Voce tests will be for 30 and 10 minutes respectively.

A Candidate seeking Admission must secure a minimum of 40% of the aggregate of the total marks of the three types of test.

Medium of Instruction and Examination: Manipuri, English and Hindi will be the media of Instruction and Examination.In the case of Manipuri medium the examination will be held in Meetei Mayek scriptonly.

Reservations:

(a) Seats for SC/ST/OBC Candidates are reserved as per the norms of the Government.

(b) One seat in each Course is reserved for candidates who have represented the state in the National/International level competitions in Sports and Games.

(c) One seat in each relevant Course is reserved for physically disabled/challenged candidates.

Eligibility:  Candidate should hold a Bachelor’s Degree in English (Honours) / Major Subject as English at the

Degree level with at least 45% marks in aggregate for the SC/STand 50%

marks in aggregate for the General category from an Institution/University

recognized by the UGC

Or

Any candidate who wishes to pursue M.A. in English must hold a Bachelor’s Degree having English as Elective Subject at the Degree level and has secured 50% marks in aggregate for General and 45% marks in aggregate for the SC/ST categories in the subject concerned in the Bachelor’s Degree examination for candidates who do not have Honours/ Major or a major subject.

Preferences will be given to those having Honours in their Bachelor’s Degree.

Total number of Seat Reservations for SC/ ST/ OBC/ Minority/ General Categories are reserved strictly as per State Government’s reservation policy.

5% Relaxation of marks in aggregate for Differently Abled Persons (DAP)/having NCC “C”  ertificate/NSS Certificate/Eminent persons in National and International level/  Children of Ex-Serviceman at the time of admission.

Age Relaxation for Admission: Age limit will be 35 years old at the time of Admission for all the candidates. However, there will be no age limit for the candidates who have passed out from MUC.

All the candidates must appear for the Entrance Test/ Examination except the candidates of MUC.

Manipur University of Culture (MUC) Admission Process 2022

Candidates can get prospectus along with application forms from office of the registrar on payment of Rs. 400/- for general and for SC/ ST/ OBC Rs. 200/-.

Fill the application forms (in duplicate) and submit to the office of the registrar along with the following enclosures (in duplicate):

1. Two self-attested copies of a recent passport size photo to be pasted on the application forms in the space provided for it.
2. Two self-attested xeroxed/photo copies of the 10th passed Certificate and 10+2 passed Certificate along with mark sheets.
3. Two self-attested photo copies of the certificates of passing the Foundation Course/ Certificate Examination in the concerned subject.
4. Self-attested photo copies of SC/ ST/ OBC certificates, to be submitted by SC/ ST/ OBC candidates.
5. Self-attested copies of Certificates in support of any claim for a seat against a reserved quota.
6. Self-attested Migration Certificate in the case of candidate from outside the state.

NOTE: Final selection will be subject to the production of the original documents and their verification.
