International Institute for Population Sciences (IIPS) offers following programs for the academic year 2020-2021

M.Sc. (2 year)

Seats: 50 each stream

Specialization:

  • Bio-Statistics and Demography
  • Population Studies

Eligibility: 

M.Sc. in Bio-Statistics and Demography: Candidates should hold a Bachelor’s Degree from recognized universities in India or abroad, Mathematics or Statistics or with atleast two full papers of Mathematics or Statistics with a minimum of 55% of aggregate marks in all subjects (all semesters/parts included) will be eligible for admission to the above program.

Candidates awaiting results of qualifying examination can also apply for consideration.

The upper age limit is 25 years.

Marks and age are relaxable for candidates belonging to reserved categories as per GOI rules.

Selection Process:  Valid Score in Written Test and Personal Interview.

Reservation: Reservation for SC/ST/OBC/PH candidates will be considered as per the Government ofIndia norms.

Fees: Rs. 34,300/- Total

 

M.Sc. in Population Studies: Candidates should hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences including Mathematics and Statistics from recognized universities in India or abroad with a minimum of 55% of aggregate marks inall subjects (all semesters/parts included) will be eligible for admission to the above program.

Preference shall be given to candidates holding a Bachelor's Degree in one of the following subjects, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Psychology, Sociology, Social Work, Geography and Anthropology, Rural Development & Political Science.

In addition to the above subjects, applicationsfrom non-Social Science background having experience in population and health related field shall alsobe considered for admission.

Master of Population Studies (MPS) (1 year)

Eligibility: Candidate should hold Master's Degree in Social Sciences including any of the following disciplines:

Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Psychology, Sociology, Social Work, Geography, and Anthropology, with a minimum of 55% of aggregate marks in all subjects (all semesters/parts included).

Candidates awaiting results of qualifying examination can also apply for consideration.

The upper age limit is 28 years.

Marks and age are relaxable for candidates belonging to reserved categories as per GOI rules.

Selection Process:  Valid Score in Written Test and Personal Interview.

Reservation: Reservation for SC/ST/OBC/PH candidates will be considered as per the Government of India norms.

Fees: Rs. 20,800/- Total


 

M.A. in Population Studies (2 year)

Eligibility: Candidates should hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences including Mathematics and Statistics from recognized universities in India or abroad with a minimum of 55% of aggregate marks inall subjects (all semesters/parts included) will be eligible for admission to the above program.

Eligibility: Candidate should hold M.A/M.Sc./Master in Population Studies/Demography/M.Sc (Biostatistics and Epidemiology) from a recognized university with at least 55% of aggregate marks in all subjects (all semesters/parts included).

Candidates awaiting results of qualifying examination latest by 30th September can also apply for consideration.

The upper age limit is 30 years.

Selection Process:  Valid Score in Written Test and Personal Interview.

Reservation: Reservation for SC/ST/OBC/PH candidates will be considered as per the Government of India norms.


 

Ph.D. in Population Studies (3 year)

Seats: 50

Eligibility: Candidates having M.Phil in Population Studies or Master's Degree in PopulationStudies or M.Sc. in Bio-Statistics and Epidemiology of a recognised university with at least 55%of aggregate marks in all subjects (all semesters/parts included).

The upper age limit is 30 years.

Marks and age are relaxable for candidates belonging to reserved categories asper GOI rules.

Age for women candidates is relaxable by 5 years.

Candidates awaiting results ofqualifying examination can also apply for consideration.

Selection Process:  Valid Score in Written Test and Personal Interview.

Reservation: Reservation for SC/ST/OBC/PH candidates will be considered as per the Government of India norms.

Fill online application form

Pay non-refundable processing fee for the Online Test is Rs. 1000/- for General Category, Rs. 500/- for

OBC (Non-Creamy Layer), Rs. 500/- for EWS and Rs. 250/- for SC/ST/PWD.

Those interested in applying for more than one course should pay application processing fee separately for each course.

Processing fee will not be charged from the foreign candidates while submitting the application forms.
