Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (GADVASU) offers admissions to the following programs to the eligible candidates for the academic year 2020-2021

Bachelor of Fisherier Science (4 year)

Eligibility: Candidate should pass 10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English from a recognized Indian board / university with at least 50% marks in aggregate (45% marks in aggregates for General and 40% marks in aggregate for SC/ST & BC categories) excluding optional subject.

Selection Process:  Based on the marks in the qualifying examination (10+2).

BVSc and AH (Veterinary) (5.5 year)

Eligibility: Candidate should pass 10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English from a recognized Indian board / university with at least 50% marks in aggregate (45% marks in aggregates for General and 40% marks in aggregate for SC/ST & BC categories) excluding optional subject.

Only those  candidates who are residence of Punjab or Union Territory of Chandigarh and Kashmiri Migrants (one seat only) are eligible for seeking admission to BVSc and AH program.

Selection Process: Valid Score in NEET.

Eligibility: Candidate should have a minimum qualification of 10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematicsand English from a recognized Indian board/ universitywith at least 50% marks in aggregate (45% marks inaggregates for General and 40% marks in aggregate for SC/ST& BC categories) excluding optional subject.

Selection Process:  Based on the marks in the qualifying examination (10+2).

Master of Veterinary Science (MVSc) (2 year)

• MVSc
• MVSc- Animal Biotechnology

Eligibility: Candidate should hold BVSc and AH Degree with minimum 60%.

MVSc (Animal Biotechnology): Candidates should hold BVSc and AH Degree in and BFSc and B.Sc. in Biotechnology/ Medical or B.Sc. (Hons) Degree in Biotechnology/Biochemistry/ Microbiology and Molecular Genetics.

Minimum marks shall be obtained 60%..

Selection Process: Admission through ICAR AIEEA-PG exam.

Preference will be given to the candidate with B.Tech. in Dairy Technology Degree.

M.Sc. in Agricultural Economics (Animal Husbandry): Hold  Degree of B.Tech. in Dairy Technology/ BFSc/ B.Sc. in Dairying/ Dairy Science/ Agri./ Agri. Hons/ Medical or non-medical)/ B.A. (Hons) in Economics with Mathematics as one of the subjects/ BVSc and AH/ BVSc/ B.Sc. Animal Science.  

M.Sc. in Biotechnology/ Biotechnology with specialization in Animal Biotechnology: Hold BFSc or B.Sc.  Degree in Biotechnology/Medical or B.Sc. (Hons) in Biotechnology/ Biochemistry/ Microbiology/ Molecular Genetics.

M.Sc. in Biochemistry: B.Sc. in Biochemistry/ B.Sc. (Medical)/ B.Sc. in Agriculture/ B.Tech. in Biotechnology/ B.F.Sc. or equivalent Degree.

Selection Process: Admission through ICAR AIEEA-PG exam.

For M.Sc. in Biotechnology: Candidate should obtained valid score in GAT-B.

Ph.D (3 year)

Eligibility: Candidate should hold Master's Degree in releted stream with minimum 70% marks.

Self attested copy of the Residence Certificate obtained from the competent authority in the prescribed format.

Self declaration of the parent/guardian in the prescribed format.

Income certificate from Tehsildar for candidates under SC/ST category who claim fee concession and whose family income is below Rs. 2.5 lakhs.
