GIET University (GIETU) offers following programs for the academic year 2021-2022

B. Tech (4 year)

Specialization:

Eligibility: The applicant for admission should be a Resident /Non- Resident Indian National/PIO/OCI/FN.PIO/OCI candidates should have studied in schools located in India in the preceding two years.

Candidate should have passed 10+2 in PCM Science.

Minimum marks shall be obtained 45%, 40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category.

Or

Hold Diploma in Engineering with minimum 45%, 40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category.

Candidates who have studied Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics at 12th standard level are eligible for all the B.Tech. Degree Programs. However, candidates who have studied Physics, Chemistry and Biology are eligible for B.Tech. Biotechnology programs.

Lateral Entry- Duration 3 year: Candidate holding Diploma in Engineering or B.Sc. Degree with Mathematics as a subject from recognised institute or university.

Minimum marks shall be obtained 45%, 40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category.

Selection Process: Valid Score in GIETU Entrance Examination (GIETEE).

As per GIET University, Odisha

50% of total seats are reserved for JEE MAIN rank holder.

50% of total seats are filled up by GIETEE/JEEMAIN/ OJEE or equivalent entrance exam of national repute.

Candidates whose date of birth falls on or after 1stJuly 1998 are eligible to apply for GIETEE 2021.

The Question paper will be in English only.


 

B.Sc. (Hons) in Agriculture (4 year)

Seats: 120

Eligibility: Candidate should have passed 10+2 in Science.

Minimum 50% marks should be obtained for General category, 45% in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST category.

Selection Process: Valid Score in GIETEE.


 

BBA (Hons)  (3 year)

Seats: 60

Minimum marks shall be obtained 50%.

50% of total seats are reserved for PGAT/ Odisha/ GATE rank holder.

Rest 50% seats filled up by counselling conducted on rank obtained in GIETEE.


 

MBA (2 year)

Eligibility: Candidates need to possess any Bachelor’s Degree exam from a recognised college/ university.

Minimum marks that candidates need to secure in graduation in order to be eligible for an MBA course is usually 50% (for General/OBC/SCBE) & 45% (for ST/SC) students.

Selection Process: Valid Score in XAT,CAT,MAT,OJEE,CMAT,GIETUEE etc..

Admission shall be made through rank obtained in GIETEE/ CMAT/ MAT/ CAT/ XAT/ OJEE.

  • 5 0% seats are reserved for OJEE counseling process and rest
  • 50% seats will be filled up by counseling by GIET University on the rank obtained in GIETEE.


 

MCA (3 year)

Seats: 60

Eligibility: Candidate should hold BCA Degree.

Candidate needs a 50% aggregate in Maths / Statistics / Comp. Sc./ Comp.Prog./ Comp.Applic. / Business Maths / Business Stats.(Either At 10 + 2 or Degree Level) to be considered eligible for MCA.

Selection Process: Admissions will be through the counseling process conducted by  GIET University on the basis of rank obtained in GIETEE.

M.Sc. (2 year)

Eligibility:

Seats: 24 each stream

M.Sc. in Mathematics, Pysics, Chemisty, Life Science: Candidates need to possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Science from a recognised college/ university. Minimum marks that candidates need to secure in graduation in order to be eligible for an MSc course is usually 50 – 60%. However, the required percentage might change depending on the policy of a university or institute in which a candidate is applying

Seats: 20

M.Sc. in Biotechnology: A pass in B.Sc. Biotechnology / BSc with Biochemistry / Microbiology / Botany / Zoology /Physics /Chemistry/ Environmental Sciences/ Agriculture / BVSc /B. Tech Biotechnology/B. Pharma /BAMS/BHMS/BPT and any other related discipline with not less than 45 % marks in aggregate.

Selection Process: Admission is made through merit basis only.


 

M.A (2 year)

Steps for Online Applications:

STEP 2 – Click on Admission Open 2021 “Apply Now” 

STEP 3 – Register on our application portal with your email address. To register click here

STEP 4 – Log-in using your email id and password.

STEP 5 – Fill in the application form online. Please note that a partially filled application form will not be saved. 

STEP 6 – After filling in the application form, click “Submit” and then on the next page, agree to the declaration and click on “Confirm Submission”. 

STEP 7 – Preview your application and print it if you require.  

Please keep the following handy before starting to apply:

  • Scanned copy of photograph / digital photograph (Colour, 3.5 cm X 4.5 cm, 10 KB TO 20 KB)
  • Marks of all required academic qualifications. For graduate programme applications, class  10+2 marks may be updated later if results are not yet declared.
  • For post graduate program applications, graduation marks may be updated later if results are not yet declared.
  • Roll nos. and scores of entrance tests (as applicable). These may be updated later if results are not yet declared.
