Dhanamanjuri University (DM University): Admissions 2024

Dhanamanjuri University (DMU) offers following programs for the academic year 2024-2025

LLB (3 year)

Eligibility: Candidate should hold a Bachelor's Degree from recognised university/ institute with minimum 45% marks from recognised board.

At the time of application, a Relaxation of 5% marks shall be given to SC/ ST/ OBC/ Differently Able Persons (DAP)/ Sports Persons of Eminence/ children of Ex-Servicemen.

Selection Process: Selection will be made on the basis of marks obtained in the written Entrance Examination by adding weightage to the score of the Entrance Examination and subject to the verification of original documents at the time of Counselling.

Candidates will be tested on the knowledge of the following:

  • Current Legal affairs
  • Current Affairs
  • General English

Preference or Weightage will be given as follow:

Students who have participated in NSS camp/passed NCC (C certificate) Course/ or participated in any Swachh Bharat Programme organised by the concerned Institute/College shall be given Two marks weightage.

Format of written Entrance Examination:

  • Short answer and Essay type Question.
  • Full Marks: 100 (General English: 50 marks; Current Legal affairs: 25 marks: Current affairs: 25 marks)
  • Duration of exam is 2 hrs only.
  • Every candidate must bring the Admission Card for Entrance examination.

 

LLM (2 year)

Eligibility:  Candidate should hold LLB Degree from recognised university/ institute.

Minimum marks shall be secured 50%.

At the time of application, a Relaxation of 5% marks shall be given to SC/ ST/ OBC/ Differently Able Persons (DAP)/ Sports Persons of Eminence/ children of Ex-Servicemen.

Selection Process: Selection will be done on merit, based on a combined assessment of the following: 

  1. The performance at a written test conducted for the purpose
  2. The past academic record of LL.B. Degree
  3. The performance in a viva-voce.

The components of (1), (2) and (3) shall have 40%, 40% and 20% respectively.

Exam shall comprise of the following points:

  • The written exam shall carry 100 marks
  • The duration of exam shall be of three hours
  • 40 marks set for one essay carrying on a topic of current legal issues;
  • 30 marks on objective type questions.
  • 30 marks for short answer type questions.
  • Both objective and short answer type questions shall be from the LL.B. syllabus.
  • Admit Card is mandatory document for exam.
  • The Admission Committee reserves the right for rechecking/ re-evaluation as and when required. 


 

M.A (2 year)

Eligibility:  Candidate should hold a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent qualification from a from an institution/university recognized by the UGC and

  1. having the relevant subject as Honours/ Major subject at the Degree level and has secured 45 % marks in aggregate for Arts, Commerce and Physical Education and 50 % for Science Subjects or
  2. having the relevant subject as one of the Elective Subject at the Degree level and has secured 50% marks in aggregate and in the subject concerned in the Bachelor’s Degree examination for candidates who do not have
  3. At the time of application, a Relaxation of 5% marks shall be given to SC/ ST/ OBC/ Differently Able Persons (DAP)/ Sports Persons of Eminence/ children of Ex-Servicemen.

Selection Process: Selection will be done on merit.


 

M.Sc.  (2 year)

Master of Physical Education and Sports (MPES) (2 year)

Eligibility:  Candidate should hold a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent qualification from a from an institution/ university recognized by the UGC and

  1. having the relevant subject as Honours/ Major subject at the Degree level and has secured 45 % marks in aggregate for Arts, Commerce and Physical Education and 50 % for Science Subjects or
  2. having the relevant subject as one of the Elective Subject at the Degree level and has secured 50% marks in aggregate and in the subject concerned in the Bachelor’s Degree examination for candidates who do not have

For PG Courses Application conduct classes

Duly filled in application forms along with relevant documents can be submitted at the Office Counter opened at DM College of Science (Central Hall).

Complete application should be accompanied by DD/ Cheque of Rs. 300/- for UR/OBC and Rs. 200/- for ST/ SC/ DAPs payable to Dhanamanjuri University, ICICI Bank or by cash.

Incomplete applications or applications received after the last date shall be summarily rejected. Students willing to apply in more than one subject should submit separate Application Forms and appear in the separate Entrance Examination.

For admission candidates needs to enclosures following document along with application form.

  1. Two recent passport – size photographs in colour
  2. One self-attested photocopy of Mark Sheet and Certificates of High School Leaving Certificate Examination or its Equivalent.
  3. One self-attested photocopy of Mark Sheet and Certificates of Higher Secondary Examination or its equivalent.
  4. One self-attested photocopy of Mark Sheet and Certificates of Bachelor Degree Examination or its equivalent.
  5. For LLM: One self-attested photocopy of Mark Sheet and Certificates of LL.B Degree Examination or its equivalent Examination.
  6. Affidavit (in case of those having gap year, stating the reason thereof)
  7. One self-attested photocopy of valid Schedule Caste/ Schedule Tribe/ OBC/ OBC (MP) certificate issued by the Competent Authority.
  8. Affidavit for the Differently Able Persons (DAP) or certificate issued by any competent authority.
  9. One self-attested photocopy of Sports Certificate(s) [National and/ or International level] issued by competent authority for candidates applying under Sports category.
  10. One self-attested photocopy of supporting document of Ex-servicemen parent or candidates applying under Ex-servicemen category.
  11. One self - attested photocopy of AADHAR card.

The applicants should ensure fulfilment of the following eligibility condition:

  • Use of the prescribed Application form.
  • Completeness of the Application form in all respects.
  • Submission of duly filled in Application form within the stipulated time.
  • Safe recording of Application form serial number for future reference.
