Desh Bhagat University (DBU) offers admissions to the following programs for the academic year 2023-2024

Bachelor of Library Science(BLib) (1 year)

Eligibility: Candidate should be a Graduate from recognised university/ institute.

Minimum marks shall be obtained 50%.

 

B.Sc. Nursing (4 year)

Eligibility: Candidate should  pass in 10+2 in Medical stream with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English from recognised board.

Minimum marks shall be obtained 45%.

Candidates are also eligible from State Open School recognized byState Government and National Institute of Open School (NIOS)recognized by Central Government having Science subjects andEnglish only.

English is a compulsory subject in 10+2 for being eligible foradmission to B.Sc. (Nursing).

Colour blind candidates are eligible provided that colour corrective contact lens and spectacles are worn by such candidates.

Candidate shall be medically fit.

Married candidates are also eligible for admission.

Students shall be admitted once in a year.

The minimum age for admission shall be 17 years on 31st December ofthe year in which admission is sought. The maximum age limit foradmission shall be 35 years.

Selection Process: Valid Score in DBEST- B.Sc. Nursing Entrance Test.

 

Bachelor of Optometry (BOptom) (4 year)

Eligibility: Candidate should  pass 12th in Science stream or equivalent from recognised board.

Minimum marks shall be obtained 50%.

B. Optometry (Lateral Entry): Diploma in Optometry or Ophthalmic Technician.

 

B.Tech+M.Tech (Integrated) (5 year)

Eligibility: Candidate should  pass in 10+2 exam in Physics & Maths as compulsory subjects along with one of the following subject Chemistry, Biotech, Computer Sciences, Biology.

Minimum marks shall be obtained 45%.

 

B.Sc. (Hons) (4 year)

Specialization:

• Agriculture
• Fisheries
• Forestry
• Horticulture

Eligibility: Candidate should pass in 10+2 exam or equivalent with Chemistry, Physics, English, Agri/Biology, Mathematics.

Minimum marks shall be obtained 45%.

Lateral Entry- Duaration 3 year:  One Year Diploma in Agriculture after 10+2 or its equivalent OR Two years Diploma in Agriculture after 10th pass from a recognized board.

 

B.Tech + MBA (5 year)

Specialization:

• Aeronautical Engineering

Eligibility:  Candidate should pass in 10+2 exam with Physics & Maths as compulsory subjects along with one of the following subjects Chemistry, Biotech., Computer Sciences, Biology.

Minimum marks shall be obtained 45%.

 

Bachelor of Ophthalmic Medical Science (BOMS) (4.5 year)

Eligibility: Candidate should  pass in 10+2 Medical stream.

Minimum marks shall be obtained 50%. In case of SC/ST candidates, minimum marks shall be obtained 45%.

 

B.Ed (2 year)

Eligibility: Candidate must possess the following qualifications to be eligible to join the Program:

Candidates with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA either in Bachelor’s degree and/or in the Master’s degree in Science/Social Science/

 Humanies/Commerce/Home Science/ Mathemacs,

Or

Applicants with Bachelors in Engineering or Technology with specialization in science and Mathemacs with 55% aggregate marks,

Or

Candidates must have passed B.A.LL.B. with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA in a relevant school subject,

Or

Candidate having any other qualification equivalent thereto.

All reserve category candidates will get five percent relaxation in marks.

Selection Process: Admission will be given on the basis of marks obtained in previous qualifying exam.

 

BPT (4.5 year)

Eligibility: Candidate should pass in 10+2 exam in Medical stream.

Minimum marks shall be obtained 50%.

 

B.Com. in Professional Accounting (3 year)

Eligibility: a) 10+2 with minimum 40% marks in aggregate for the students opted Commerce group.

Or

b) 45% marks in aggregate for the students opted Humanities Group with at least two out of commerce/ Accounts/Math/Economics /Management Papers.

Or

50% marks who have passed 10+2 but not covered under (a) and (b) above.

Minimum marks shall be obtained 50%.

 

BCA (3 year)

Eligibility: Candidate should pass in 10+2 exam from recognized board (No Math reqd.)

Minimum marks shall be obtained 50%.

 

BA LLB (5 year)

B.Sc. in Airlines Tourism and Hospitality Management: Candidate should pass in 10+2 exam in any stream.

B.Sc. in Animation: Candidate should pass in 10+2 exam in any stream with minimum 45% marks.

Lateral Entry- Duration 2 year:  Hold a 3 years Diploma in Animation/Multimedia with 50% marks from recognized board / university.

B.Sc. in Hotel Administration & Hospitality: Candidate should pass in 10+2 exam in any stream with English as one of the subject.

B.Sc. in Hotel Management and Catering Technology:  Candidate should pass in 10+2 exam in any stream with English as one of the subject.

B.Sc. in Information Technology:  Candidate should pass in 10+2 exam (No Math reqd.).

B.Sc. in Media Entertainment and Film Technology:   Candidate should pass in 10+2 exam or equivalent (minimum 45% marks) with Botany as a compulsory subjec.

Lateral Entry- Duration 2 year: 1 year Diploma any relevant field (Photography/ Printing technology/ Printmedia/ Advertising/ Public relation/ Audio Video Production etc.) with 50% marks from recognised board/university .

B.Sc. in Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT):  Candidate should pass in 10+2 exam  with minimum 50% aggregate (Medical /Non-Medical).

Lateral Entry- Duration 2 year: 10+2 Pass with minimum 50% aggregate (Medical / Non-Medical) or 2 Years Diploma in MLT after 10th or 1 year MLT after 10+2 (any stream).

B.Sc. in Operation Theatre Technology:   Candidate should pass in 10+2 exam with minimum 40% aggregate ( Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together).

B.Sc. in Optometry (OPT):  Candidate should pass in 10+2 exam in Science stream or equivalent with minimum 50% marks.

Lateral Entry- 3 year: Diploma in Optometry or Ophthalmic Technician.

 

LLB (3 year)

Eligibility: Candidate should  be a Graduate from recognised university/ institute.

Minimum marks shall be obtained 50%.

 

B.Pharm (4 year)

Eligibility: Candidate should  pass in 10+2 exam with Physic, Chemistry, Biology/Math as compulsory subjects.

Minimum marks shall be obtained 50%.

 

BAMS (5.5 year)

Eligibility: Candidate should pass in 10+2 exam with Medical stream (PCB & English)

Minimum marks shall be obtained 50%.

 

MCA (3 year)

Eligibility:  Candidate should  be a Graduate with Maths/Stats/QT/ Business Maths as additional/optional subject.

Or

Candidate should pass in 10+2 exam with Mathematics as a subject.

Lateral Entry - Duration 2 year:  Candidate should  hold a BCA, B.Sc. IT/CS, M.Sc. IT Degree from a recognized university.

Candidates who have appeared in the qualifying examination but their results are still awaited, can appear in the entrance test but they will have to submit the original certificates of the qualifying examination before the commencement of the course work, otherwise their admission will be cancelled.

Students who are UGC/NET are exempted from entrance test but have to register online before the last date of application and also appear for the interview.
