Central Drug Research Institute (CDRI) offers Ph.D program for the academic year 2023-2024

Ph.D Chemical and Biological Science (3 year)

Eligibility: Candidate should hold M.Sc. or equivalent Degree in Life sciences/ Biotechnology/ Chemical sciences/ Pharmaceutical sciences.

M. Pharm and MBBS are also eligible for the course.

Minimum marks s hall be secured 55%.

Candidates whose final results are awaited, but who are otherwise eligible as per the screening criteria, canalso apply. If selected, they will be provisionally admitted to the program. Their continuation in the programwill be subject to securing required percentage/ equivalent grade (depending on the cut-off marks forscreening for the specific program) and submission of marks-sheet of their final result at the time of joiningthe program.

Selection process: qualified in CSIR-UGC-NET, ICMR, DBT examination for Junior Research Fellowship.

Candidates with lectureship only in CSIR-UGC (NET) examination are not eligibleto apply.

The committee will set thecriteria for short-listing the candidates. Only those candidates who are found eligible willbe called for written test/ interview/counselling at CDRI, Lucknow. The decision of thecommittee with regard to selection of candidates shall be final. 

Fees: Rs. 22,000/- Per Semester

CSIR-CDRI Admission Process 2023

Online application twice (January and August) in a year i.e. once through CDRI-AcSIR Ph.D. Program (AcSIR website: https://acsir.res.in) and once through CDRI-JNU Ph.D.program (https://cdri.res.in).
