Assam Institute of Management (AIM) offers MBA program for the academic year 2024-2025

MBA (2 year)

Eligibility: Candidate should hold a Bachelor's Degree in any discipline (except fine arts) from recognised university/ institute. 

 Minimum marks shall be obtained 50%, 45% in case of  SC/ST candidates. 

 Final year graduate students are also eligible to apply for provisional admission. 

 Those with good academic and extra-curricular records and with work/practical experience would be given preference. 

Reservation: 

Reservation of seats for SC/ST applicants would be as per Gov­ernment norms

ST (H) – 5%;

ST (P) – 10%; 

SC – 7% and

OBC/MOBC – 27%.

AIM will have three seats reserved for foreign / NRI-sponsored ap­plicants.

AIM also have two seats each reserved for students from Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Tripura and Sikkim for which nomination from respective state governments are essential.

Selection Process:  Valid Score in CAT, CMAT, MAT, ATMA, XAT, JMET.

Candidates having uniformly good academic background will be given preference.

The following are the weightage criteria for MBA admission:

Academic Background – 15%;

Entrance Score – 50%;

Group Discussion – 15%;

Personal Interview- 15%;

Work Experience – 5%.

Selected students have to produce original copy of Migration Certificate and Students with Gap period in academics will have to submit Gap Certificate for submission to Assam Science and Technology University during registration process after admission.

In order to be eligible for the MBA course, the candidate has to secured valid score in  in CAT, CMAT, MAT, ATMA, XAT, JMET.

Take  a printout of the downloaded application form

Fill application form carefully and  follow  the instructions contained therein.

The filled-in application Form, along with the required copies of  the documents  along with application fee must be submitted to the Assam Institute of Management .

Application fee  Rs. 1,000/-  should be submitted through Demand Draft in favour of Assam Institute of Management payable at Guwahati to institute.

Announcement of names of shortlisted candidates for GD/PI will be made available at the AIM website.

The GD/PI for the shortlisted candidates will be held at AIM Guwahati West Boragaon Campus.
