A candidate for the degree of Bachelor of Chemical Technology must produce a certificate to the effect that he has passed the Higher Secondary School Certificate examination conducted by the Maharashtra State Board of Higher Secondary Education at least in the first grade or first class with the following subjects:-

i. English

ii. Any one of the Modern Indian Languages or Modern Foreign Languages,

iii. Mathematics

iv. Physics

v. Chemistry

vi. Any one of the subject from among the remaining optional subjects prescribed for the Higher Secondary School Certificate examination of the Maharashtra State

OR

As an examination recognized as equivalent thereto.

Note: For the purpose of admission to the B.Chem. Tech. Degree course the marks in the subject of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics at the qualifying examination will be taken into consideration.

A candidate should have passed the Higher Secondary School Certificate (Std. XII)examination conducted by the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education, Pune, or its equivalent examination with English, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and secured not less than 50% marks in the subject of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics taken together at one and the same sitting (45% in the subjects of physics, Chemistry and Mathematics taken together at one and the same sitting for Backward Class candidates from Maharashtra State only). 

Or

The candidate should have passed the Indian School Certificate(Std. XII) examination or any other equivalent Higher Secondary(Std. XII) examination of a Council or Board outside Maharashtra State with English, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and secure not less than 50% marks in the subject of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics taken together at one and the same sitting (45% in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics taken together at one and the same sitting for Backward Class candidates from Maharashtra State only).
