Any candidate who has passed the Pre-University Examination conducted by the Pre-University Education Board in the State of Karnataka, or any other 10+2 examination considered as an equivalent by Mangalore University, in Science, Commerce or Arts disciplines is eligible for admission to this programme.

Three year Polytechnic Diploma in any branch conducted by Board of Technical Education and Examinations of any State Government

or

Two year JOC Programme conducted by Board of Vocational Education of any State Government is eligible for admission to this programme.

Lateral Entry- Duration 2-year: Candidates who have passed the three years polytechnic diploma examination conducted by any State Government Board of Technical Education in the following branches may be directly admitted to II year (III Semester) programmes (i) Costume Design & Dress Making, (ii) Apparel Design & Fashion Technology, (iii) Diploma in Handloom Technology, (iv) Diploma in Textile Technology, (v) Diploma in Textile Processing, (vi) Diploma in Weaving Technology, (vii) Diploma in Knitting Technology, (viii) Diploma in Leather Technology.

Mode of Selection
On scrutiny of applications received, eligible candidates will be selected. The candidates will have to get themselves admitted on payment of fees prescribed.
All admissions are subject to eligibility conditions of Mangalore University. Eligibility Certificates will have to be obtained from Mangalore University.
