Candidate must have clearly passed intermediate examination of U. P. Board or 10+2 level examination or its equivalent from any recognized Board / University; The candidate must have clearly passed with minimum 45% marks for general & OBC and 40% for SC/ST candidates  without grace in required each compulsory subjects and one optional subject taken together.

The candidates appearing in the qualifying examination are also eligible to appear in UPSEE  subject to the condition they must fulfill the eligibility criteria at the time of admission.

Compulsory Subjects - Physics & MathematicsAnyone of the Subjects- Chemistry, Bio-Technology, Biology or Technical Vocational Subject

B.Tech 2nd Year (Lateral Entry): Candidates who have passed three years Diploma in engineering courses; securing minimum 45% marks for General & OBC (40% in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST category) marks in aggregate OR Candidates who have passed ‘three years B.Sc. degree and passed XII standard with mathematics’ as one of the subject ; securing minimum 45% marks for General & OBC (40% in case of candidates  longing to SC/ST category ) in aggregate, are also eligible for admission to second year in any branch of Engineering / Technology.

Selection Process: Valid Score in UPSEE.
