Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D)

Doctoral | Full Time | Duration: 3 Years

A candidate for admission to the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) must have obtained the Master's Degree with at least 55% marks at the postgraduate examination of the University or an equivalent examination recognized by the University in the subject or any allied subject in which he or she wishes to pursue research.

If the candidate secures less than 55 % marks at the postgraduate examination but has secured second division at postgraduate as well as degree level, he or she will be eligible for admission to PhD programme.

The candidate seeking admission in PhD program are advised to go through the ordinance no 124 relating to the degree of PhD. A separate advertisement (Admission Notice) will appear in the state level newspapers for Research Entrance Test (RET) only on the availability of seats and admission to the PhD programme in various subjects offered by the university.

All candidates have to compulsorily upload all the marks sheets (Annual/Semester) after 10+2 exam while filling form online.

The candidates who have appeared in the last qualifying examination may also apply for admission. However, such candidates must submit their marks sheets within time period notified by the University/ Department.
