Eligibility and Selection Procedure for BSc (Hons) in College of Agriculture and Technology Pass 10+2 from recognised board with subjects Group I: Maths, Physics, Chemistry and Biology Group II: Physics, Chemistry, Biology with any one of the following as fourth (elective ) subjects – Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Home Science or Computer Science Non Resident Indian (NRI) students shall also be eligible for admission as per the norms prescribed by Tamil Nadu Agricultural University. Open Competition (OC): 55% Aggregate of all the four eligible subjects Backward Class (BC) and Backward Class Muslim (BCM): 50% Aggregate of all the four eligible subjects Most Backward Class (MBC) and Denotified Community (DNC) Scheduled Caste (SC) / SCA Scheduled Tribe (ST) : 45% Aggregate of all the four eligible subjects A pass in qualifying examination. Age limit: Maximum age should not more than 21 years, For SC / ST No age limit Nationality: Citizens of India and Union Territory People of Indian Origin Non-Resident Indian. |

The total number of students admitted to CAT, Theni is 120. Of which
- 50% admitted through Tamil Nadu Agricultural University single window system counseling.
- 50% will be admitted directly by CAT Theni Management by following the Tamil Nadu Agricultural University admission eligibility norms.
