Eligibility and Selection Procedure for PhD in CSIR - National Institute of Oceanography Candidate should hold a Master’s Degree in Science having a valid National level fellowship (JRF/ SRF of various funding agencies, e.g. CSIR, UGC, DBT, DST etc.), INSPIRE or other equivalent fellowships. |

Admission Process |
Application Procedure for PhD in CSIR - National Institute of Oceanography Admission into PhD courses are done on basis of guidance of AcSIR. CSIR-NIO conducts interviews of students only once in a year in the month of June/ July for admission to the AcSIR doctoral classes starting from August every year. The advertisement for admission goes out to various leading newspapers of the country normally in the month of April. Interested candidates who fulfil the eligibility criteria can apply online from April at http://acsir.res.in. Online application will close by May.
