Exam Details

NEET-PG Conducts  National Board of Examination (NBE) for eligible candidate to get admission in MD/ MS/ PG diploma courses.

 NEET-PG is National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (Post Graduate) for admission to following courses for session 2021

  • MD
  • MS
  • Post Graduate Diploma Courses

NEET-PG is a qualifying cum-ranking examination prescribed as the single entrance examination for admission to various MD/ MS and PG Diploma Courses as per Section 10 (D) of Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.

• No other entrance examination, either at state or institution level, shall be valid for entry to MD/ MS/ PG Diploma Courses.

• NEET is mandatory even for foreign nationals seeking admission in medical courses in India.

Scope of NEET-PG

NEET-PG 2021 shall be the single eligibility cum entrance examination for admission to MD/MS/PG Diploma Courses for the academic session 2021 which will include the following:

1. All India 50% quota seats for all States/Union territories of India.

2. State quota seats for all States/Union territories of India.

3. All Private Medical Colleges, Institutions & Universities/Deemed Universities all across the country

4. Armed Forces Medical Services Institutions.

5. Post MBBS DNB Courses and Post MBBS NBE Diploma Courses The following Medical institutions are not covered by centralized admissions for MD/MS seats through NEET- PG for 2021 session:

1. AIIMS, New Delhi and other AIIMS

2. PGIMER, Chandigarh

3. JIPMER, Puducherry

4. NIMHANS, Bengaluru

5. Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology, Trivandrum

Candidates MUST bring to the test centre the following documents :

• Printed copy of Admit card with their photo pasted on it,

AND

• Photocopy of Permanent / Provisional SMC/MCI registration, to be retained by the test centre,

AND

• Any one of the authorized photo IDs(must be original, valid and non- expired): PAN card/Driving license/Voter ID/Passport/ Aadhar Card (with photograph).

Marking

The examination shall be a multiple choice questions delivered using computers network (CBT) as per scheme prescribed.

The exam comprises of 200 Multiple Choices, single correct response questions in English language only.

Time allotted is 3 hrs 30 min.

There shall be 25% negative marking for incorrect answers. No marks will be deducted for un attempted questions.

Marking Scheme: Allocation of marks for each MCQ shall be as follows:

1 Correct Response: 4 Marks

2 Incorrect Response: 1 Mark shall be deducted

3 Un attempted Question: Zero

During the examination candidates are given an option to mark any question, whether attempted or not, for review which means that candidate has been given an option to go through these questions again before the examination time ends. Candidates may note that such questions which are marked for review shall be evaluated as per the marking scheme mentioned above.

Provide details of Aadhar Card in the application form and bring it to the test centre if it has been issued to you.

Bring at least one but as many of the above mentioned Photo IDs which are issued to you and details of which have been provided in the application form.

Phone support will be available during these times:

• 23rd February to 31st May 2021 : 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM from Monday to Friday

• 18th April 2021 (Examination day): 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM

• NBE Candidate Care will be closed on Saturday, Sunday & Gazetted holidays.

Allocation of time for NEET-PG 2021 shall be as follows:

Allow Candidates to enter the examination centre and Commence Registration for the test: 12:00 PM

Entry closes at Examination Center: 01:30 PM

Grant access for Candidate Login: 01:45 PM

Candidates log in to read instructions: 01:50 PM

Exam Start Time: 02:00 PM

Exam End Time: 05:30 PM


Eligibility

Candidates  holding MBBS Degree recognized as per the provisions of the Indian MedicalCouncil Act 1956 and possessing permanent or provisional registration certificate of MBBS qualification issued by the Medical Council of India orState Medical Council and have completed one year of internship or arestlikely to complete the internship on or before 31 March 2021, may applyfor NEET-PG 2021 through online application system at websitewww.nbe.edu.in

Syllabus

Syllabus: The syllabus for the exam shall comprise of subject/ knowledge area as per Graduate Medical Education Regulations issued by the erstwhile Medical Council of India with prior approval of the Govt of India.

Fees

Submission of application form for appearing in the NEET-PG 2021 is to be undertaken online at the website www.nbe.edu.in

Application forms CANNOT be submitted offline / printed copy by post.

The prescribed exam fee of Rs. 3,835/- (for SC/ST/PWD(PH) candidates) and Rs. 5,015/- (for General/OBC candidates) should be remitted through payment gateway provided using a Credit Card or a Debit Card issued by banks in India or through Internet banking.

The cut-off date for completion of internship towards determination of eligibility st for appearing in NEET-PG 2021 shall be 23 February 2021.

Applications once submitted cannot be withdrawn. Fee shallneither be carried forward to a future date nor refunded under anycircumstances. Any claim for refund, adjustment or carryingforward of Application fee will not be entertained on successfulsubmission of application and payment of fee.

Admission process

New User Registration: All candidates desirous of applying for NEET-PG 2021 shall be required to create an online profile of themselves to generate a UserID and Password.

Applicant Login: This User ID and Password so created will allow the candidate to login as an applicant for NEET-PG 2021 and register an online application. The “Go To Application” link will allow the candidate to continue with the application submission immediately after user creation.

If the Login password is lost, it can be retrieved by clicking “ForgotYour Password”.

The UserID/Application ID and password so generated shall be sentto the registered email ID of the candidate for future records.

The following steps shall be followed while filing the online application form:

• Fill the user registration form to generate User ID/Application ID and Password.

• User ID and Password will be sent through SMS and Email.

• Complete the application form and upload your Photograph, Scanned signature, Thumb impression & Prescribed documents.

• Choose your Test City and pay Examination Fee

• Agree to the declaration and Submit Application

• Take a print out of the filled Application form with Transaction ID printed on it for records.

Admit Card

Admit cards shall be made live on NBE website https://nbe.edu.in on 12th April 2021. Admit cards will not be issued to candidates found ineligible before conduct of examination.

Candidates will be informed through SMS/Email alerts and website notice regarding availability of the admit card on NBE website. Admit card will not be sent to the candidates by Post/ Email.

Candidates are required to download their admit card from the NBE website and affix firmly their latest passport size photograph in the space provided on the admit card.

Exact address and location of the test centresshall be indicated in the admit card.

Qualifying Marks

The eligibility criteria for participation in counseling towards allotment of PG seats conducted by designated counseling authority shall be in accordance with the Post Graduate Medical Education Regulations (as per latest amendment) notified by the NMC/ the erstwhile MCI with prior approval of MoHFW, Govt. of India.  

General: 50%

SC/ST/OBC (Including PWD of SC/ST/OBC): 40%

UR PWD: 45%.

 

Score Result

The result for NEET-PG 2021 will be declared by 31st May 2021.

The result shall be available at NBE website: https://nbe.edu.in 

Candidates can download their score card from NBE website using their login credentials.

There shall be NO re-evaluation or rechecking or re-totaling of responses marked by the candidates. Requests/Queries for reevaluation/re-totaling shall not be entertained.
