Exam Details

AIAPGET 2023 is an all India ranking examination for various AYUSH MD / MS / PGDIPLOMA Courses in Ayurveda, Unani, Siddha & Homeopathy systems of medicine. No other entrance examination, either at state or institution level, shall be valid for admissionto MD / MS / PG DIPLOMA Courses in Ayurveda, Unani, Siddha & Homeopathy systemsof medicine.

Scope of AIAPGET 2023

1. AIAPGET 2022 will be a single entrance examination namely ‘All India AYUSH Post Graduate Entrance Test 2022’ for admission to Postgraduate AYUSH Courses for the academic session 2023-24 which will include the following:

All India (Open/ Other states) and State quota seats for admission to MD / MS / PG DIPLOMA Courses in Ayurveda, Unani, Siddha & Homeopathy system of medicine for all AYUSH Colleges, Institutions & Universities/ Deemed Universities across the country.

2. No any AYUSH Colleges, Institutions/ Universities/ Deemed Universities shall be conducting any separate entrance exam for admission to AYUSH MD / MS / PG DIPLOMA Courses for the academic session 2022-2023

3. AIIA/MoA does not verify the information provided by the candidates during online registration and hence candidature will be purely provisional subject to fulfillment of eligibility criteria as per CCIM/CCH/States/Universities/Institutions/ Deemed Universities concerned.

4. AIIA / MoA has no role in counselling. Concerned State AYUSH Authority(s) / Counselling Authority(s) of the States/UT/ Universities/ Deemed University /AYUSH Colleges/ Institutes will conduct counselling for admission based on candidate AIAPGET 2022 merit, choice of subject and fulfillment of their eligibility criteria, guidelines, domicile criteria, applicable reservation policies etc.

Allocation of time for the AIAPGET 2023 shall be as follows:

The examination shall be of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) delivered on computerbased platform.

The exam comprises of 100 Multiple Choice Questions with single correct response.

Time allotted is 90 minutes.

Marking: 01 mark will be awarded for each correct answer and 0.25 marks shall be deducted for each wrong answer.  

Pattern of Examination

Maximum Marks: 480

Type of Questions: Multiple Choics Questions with single correct response

Scoring: 04 for each correct response

                 -01 for  each incorrect response

                  0– for no response or not attempted questions 

Medium of Paper: Ayurveda- English and Hindi

Unani- English and Urdu

Siddha- English and Tamil

Homeopathy- English only

Marking Scheme:

i) Each question carries 04 (four) marks.

ii) For each correct response, candidate will get 04 (four) marks.

iii) For each incorrect response, 01 (one) mark will be deducted from the total score.

iv) Un-answered/un-attempted will be given no marks.

v) To answer a question, the candidate needs to choose one option as correct option.

vi) However, after the process of Challenges of the Answer Key, in case there are multiple correct options or change in key, only those candidates who have attempted it correctly as per the revised Answer key will be awarded marks.

vii) In case a Question is dropped due to some technical error, full marks shall be given to all the candidates irrespective of the fact who have attempted it or not.

viii) In case of any ambiguity in translation/construction of a question in the exam, its English version shall be treated as final and the decision of NTA shall be final in this regard.

Reservations

In the case of Institutes run by the Central Government, the reservation would be applicable as mentioned below: 

(i) 15% of the seats Scheduled Castes (SC) candidates

(ii) 7.5% seats for Scheduled Tribes (ST) candidates

(iii) 27% seats for Other Backward Classes (OBC) Non-Creamy Layer (NCL) candidates as per the Central List*

(iv) 10% of the seats for General Economically Weaker Sections (General -EWS) candidates

(v) Persons with Disability (PwD) with 40% or more disability

Each category will have 5% reservations for the candidates with 40% or more disability as defined in Section 2 (r) and (zc) of Persons with Disabilities (RPwD) Act, 2016.

In the case of the Institutes run/aided/recognized by State Governments, the reservation policy of the respective State Governments shall be applicable.

Conduct of the Examination

The candidates shall report at the Examination Centre two hours before the commencement of the Examination so as to complete the

registration formalities well before the time of exam.

Registration desk will close 90 minutes prior to the examination.

Schedule

Entrance Exam AIAPGET 2023: 31 July 2023

Duration of Examination: 120 minutes (02.00 hours)

Timing of Examination: 10:00 A.M to 12:00 Noon

Eligibility

Candidates who are holding Degree of  BAMS/ BUMS/ BSMS/ BHMS/Graded BHMS or Provisional BAMS/ BUMS/ BSMS/ BHMS Pass Certificate recognized as per the provisions of the IMCC 1970/ HCC 1973 Act and possess permanent or provisional registration certificate of BAMS/ BUMS/ BSMS/ BHMS/ Graded BHMS Degree qualification issued by the CCIM/ CCH/ state board/ universities/ deemed universities and have completed one year of internship or/ are likely to complete the internship before the date of counselling, are eligible for AIAPGET 2023.

The dates indicated by candidates in regard to 12 months Compulsory Rotating Internship i.e. starting date, completion date, shall be treated as final and candidates will be required to submit the original Compulsory Rotating Internship completion certificate at the time of counselling. 

Some of the Universities/ Institutions with regulations that candidates who are already pursuing any PG Course in their University or in another University are not eligible for admission till they complete the course.

The candidates who are already pursuing PG Courses either through All India Quota or State Quota and are applying for a seat under All India Quota/ State quota seats may confirm the eligibility conditions of that Universityin this regard.

NTA/ MoA/ AIIA shall not be responsible if such candidates are refused admission.

Syllabus

Syllabus: 

The syllabus for the exam shall comprise of subjects/knowledge areas as per the Graduate Level Education Regulations of respective discipline issued by CCIM/CCH. 

Candidates MUST bring to the test centre the following documents:

• Two printed copies of Admit Card with latest passport size photo pasted on it (One will be retained by the centre); AND

• Any one of the authorized photo IDs(must be original, valid and non-expired): PAN card/Driving license/Voter ID/Passport/ Aadhaar Card (with photograph).

The candidate must bring the same photo identity proof as mentioned during the registration process.

• Self-attested copy of authorized photo ID which will also be retained by the center.

Fees

Entrance fee:

  • For General/ OBC candidates: Rs. 2,700/-
  • Gen-EWS: Rs. 2,450/-
  • For SC/ ST/ PWD (PH)/ Third gender candidates: Rs. 1,800/- 

Applicable service/ processing charges & GST over and above the Examination fee, are to bepaid by the candidate to the concerned Bank/ Payment Gateway Integrator.

The Examination Fee once paid will neither be refunded nor be carriedforward under any circumstances.

Admission process

Candidates can apply for AIAPGET 2023 in “Online” mode only.

Submission of OnlineApplication Form may be done by accessing National Testing Agency (NTA) website www.ntaaiapget.nic.in.

The Application Form other than online mode will not be accepted in any case.

Only one application is to be submitted by a candidate.

Steps for online application form:

Interested candidate may visit official website and fill in the online form.

Upload scanned images of candidate’s photograph and  signature in JPG/ JPEG format

Make payment by choosing any of the following mode of payment

  • Credit Card
  • Debit Card
  • Internet banking

Take printout after successful remittance of fee.

Admit Card

The candidate has to download the Admit Card from the NTA website and appear for the examination at the given Centre on Date, timing and discipline as indicated in their Admit Card.

Candidate without admitcard will be allowed to enter in exam hall.

In case candidates are unable to download Admit Cards from the website, they mayapproach the Help Line between 10:00 am to 5:00 pm.

NTA will allocate the Examination Centre in the chosen city, which will be mentionedin the Admit Card.

The City of Examination once chosen and allotted cannot be changed (after theclosing of the correction window) and any request in this regard will not beentertained. 

Score Result

The result will be compiled based on Final Answer Keys. No grievance with regardto Answer Key (s) after Declaration of Result of AIAPGET-2023 will be entertained.

The raw (actual) marks obtained by a candidate will be considered further forcomputation of the Result of AIAPGET-2023.
