Indian Statistical Institute (ISI) offers admission M.Stat and JRF programs for the academic year 2021-2022

Master of Statistics (M.Stat) (2 year)

Eligibility:  Candidates should hold a three-year Bachelor’s Degree or a B.E/B. Tech Degree with Statistics as a subject,

or

B.Math Degree from ISI,

or

Post-Graduate Diploma in Statistical Methods and Analytics from ISI.

Selection Process: Valid Score in ISI Admission Test.


 

Junior Research Fellowships (JRF)

Specialization:

  • Statistics
  • Mathematics
  • Computer Science
  • Quality, Reliability & Operations Research (QROR)

Eligibility:

Statistics:  Candidates must hold M.Stat Degree from ISI,

or

M.A/M.Sc. or equivalent Degree in Statistics.

Mathematics:  Candidates must hold M.Stat/ M.Math degree from ISI, or M.A/ M.Sc. or equivalent Degree in Mathematics, or M.E/ M. Tech Degree or equivalent with Mathematics as a subject.

Computer Science: Candidates must hold M.E/ M. Tech or equivalent Master’s Degree in Electronics/ Telecommunication/ Radio Physics/ Computer Science/ Electrical Engineering/ Microwave Communications/ Information Technology/ Bioinformatics/ Biotechnology with Mathematics as a subject at the undergraduate or postgraduate level,

or

M.Sc./ MCA/ M.A or equivalent Master’s Degree in Physics/ Mathematics/ Applied Mathematics/ Statistics/ Electronic Sciences/ Computer Science/ Atmospheric Science/ Information Technology/ Bioinformatics/ Biotechnology with Mathematics as a subject at the undergraduate or postgraduate level.

Quantitative Economics:  Candidate  must have Master’s Degree in any stream with Economics/ Mathematics/ Statistics as a subject at the undergraduate or postgraduate level.

Quality, Reliability & Operations Research (QROR): Candidates  must hold  M.Tech/ M.E/ MS/ M.Phil or equivalent Degree in Quality/ Reliability/ Operations Research, or M.Stat/ M.Sc./ M.A or equivalent Degree in Mathematics/ Statistics/Physics with Mathematics as a subject at the undergraduate or postgraduate level.

Selection Process: Valid Score in ISI Admission Test.


 

ISI: Admission Process 2021

Candidates can apply online by visiting the official website of the institute.

Candidates fill application form properly upload the required documents and pay the application fee as per the instructions given below.

Candidate belongs to reserved category please keep ready Caste certificates (Scheduled Caste/Schedules Tribes/Other Backward Classes - Non Creamy Layer) and/or Disability Certificates issued by the appropriate authority.

Application Fees

• Rs. 1,250/ - for all Male applicants in the unreserved (General) category

• Rs. 750/- for all Female applicants in the unreserved (General) category

• Rs. 625/- for reserved (OBC-NCL/SC/ST/PwD) category candidates

Mode of payment:

For online application, the application fee will be collected through the State Bank of India Collect website.

The payment can be made using Net Banking, Debit/ Credit Card or through Challan for cash payment at the SBI Branch.

Candidates need to pay additional bank charges.
