Central University of Jharkhand  (CUJ) offers admission in the following programs for the academic year 2023-2024

B.A (3 year)

Specialization:

  • Korean: 15
  • Chinese: 31

Eligibility: Candidate should pass in 10+2  exam from recognised board.

Minimum marks shall be obtained 55%.

 In case of SC/ST/OBC, minimum marks shall be obtained 50%.

Selection Process: Valid Score in CUET (UG).


 

B.Ed ( 2 year)

Seats: 110

Eligibility: Candidate should hold Bachelor’s Degree or Master's Degree in Sciences/Social Sciences/Humanity, Bachelor’s in Engineering or Technology with specialization in Science and Mathematics.

Minimum marks shall be obtained 55%.

Selection Process: Valid Score in CUET (UG).


 

MSW in Contemporary and Tribal Customary Law (2 year)

Seats: 22

Eligibility: Candidate should hold a Bachelor’s Degree from recognised university/ institute.

Minimum marks shall be obtained 50%.

In case of SC/ST/PWD candidates, minimum marks shall be obtained 45%.

Selection Process: Valid Score in CUET (PG).


 

MBA (2 year)

Seats:  66

Eligibility: Candidate should hold a Bachelor’s Degree from recognised university/ institute.

Minimum marks shall be obtained 50%.

In case of SC/ST/PWD candidates, minimum marks shall be obtained 45%.

Selection Process: Valid Score in CAT/ CUET (PG).

Seats Distribution:

  • 40 seat through CAT
  • 26 through CUCET.

Fees: Rs. 1,16,700/- Total


 

LLM (2 year)

Seats: 22

Specialization:

  • Tribal and Customary Law
  • Human Rights

Eligibility:  Candidate should hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Law from recognised university/ institute.

Minimum marks shall be obtained 50%.

Relaxation as per GOI norms. 

Selection Process: Valid Score in CUET (PG).


 

M.Tech (2 year)

Seats: 31 each stream

Specialization:

  • Transportation Engineering
  • Computer Sciences and Technology
  • Nanoscience and Technology: 
  • Water Engineering and Management
  •  Energy Engineering:

Eligibility:

M.Tech. in Transportation Engineering: Candidate should hold B.Tech/B.E Degree in Civil Engineering Degree will be eligible for admission in the M.Tech course.

Obtained at least 50% marks.

In case of SC/ST/OBC/PWD, minimum marks shall be obtained 45%.

M.Tech. in Computer Sciences and Technology: Candidate should pass B.E/ B.Tech exam in related stream.

Minimum 55% Marks in Bachelor's Degree in Engineering / Technology (IT/CS/CSE )

Or

An equivalent degree in an appropriate area

Or

M. Sc (Computer Science/ Information Technology)

Or

MCA.

Relaxation as per the GoI norms

M.Tech. in Nanoscience and Technology: Candidate should hold B.Tech/B.E Degree  in Material Science and Engineering, Nanoscience and Nanotechnology/Nanotechnology/ Mechanical Engineering/ ChemicalEngineering/Electrical Engineering/ Ceramic Engineering/ Metallurgical and Materials Engineering/Electronics Engineering/ Nanoscience andTechnology/Biotechnology or other relevant branch of Engineering &Technology or M Sc. with a minimum of 55% marks.

 In case of SC/ST/OBC/ PWD candidates, minimum marks shall be obtained 50%.

M.Tech. in Water Engineering and Management:  Pass B.Tech in Agricultural/Civil Engineering/ Water Engineering and  Management.

Minimum mark shall be obtained 55%.

 In case of SC/ST/OBC/ PWD candidates, minimum marks shall be obtained 50%.

M.Tech. in Energy Engineering:  Candidate should hold Degree of B.E/ B.Tech in Energy Engineering, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics,Chemical Engineering, Chemical Science and Technology, EngineeringPhysics, Nanoscience and Nanotechnology, Materials Science or equivalent with minimum 60 % in aggregate or equivalent

Or

M.Sc in Physics, Chemistry, Materials science, Nanoscience andNanotechnology or equivalent with minimum 55 % in aggregate or equivalent.

Selection Process for all stream: Valid Score in GATE/ CUET (PG).

Seats Distribution:

  • 50% seats filled by GATE.
  • 50% seats filled by CUCET.

Fees: Rs. 76,700/-Total


 

M.Com (2 year)

Seats: 44 

Eligibility: Candidate should hold Degree of B.Com, BBA or BBS with at least 50% marks in graduation.

In case of  SC &ST at least 45% marks required.

Selection Process: Valid Score in CUET (PG).


 

 

M.A (2 year)

Eligibility:

Seats: 15

M.A. in Tribal Law and Governance: Candidate should have passed Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline with 50%.

Relaxation as per GOI norms.

 

Seats: 22

M.A. in Hindi:  Candidate should have passed Bachelor’s Degree in Hindi (Hon) or should have studied Hindi as a subject in Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/Humanities/Commerce.

The  candidate must have secured at least 50% in Bachelor’s as well as in Hindi subject.

 

Seats: 44

M.A. in English: Hold B.A  (Hons) Degree in  English.

 

Seats: 31

M.A. in Political Science:  Candidate should have passed Graduation Degree in any discipline with 50% marks.

 

Seats: 40

M.A. in Mass Communication: Candidate should have passed Bachelor’s Degree in any Discipline with minimum 50% marks for general category and 45% marks for SC/ST/OBC (Non Creamy Layer)/PWD candidates.

 

Seats: 12 each streams

M.A. in Tribal Studies (Anthropology & Tribal Studies, Folklore, Rural and Triabal Development)

Candidate should hold Bachelor's Degree with minimum 45% marks.

For EWS,OBC,SC,ST,PwD, minimum marks shall be obtained 40%.

M.A. in Public Administration: Candidate should hold B.A/ B.Sc. Degree in any subjects.

1. Bachelor's Degree with Chemistry as a  subjects.

2. Student must have Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics at the 10+2 Level.

M.Sc. in Physics: Hold

1. Bachelor's Degree with Physics as a subjects.

2. Student must have Physics and Mathematics at the 10+2 Level. 

M.Sc. in Life Science: Candidate should hold a B.Sc.  Degree with Bio- Sciences /Botony /Zoology /Biology /Biotechnology/Biochemistry /Life Science /Microbiology /Genetics /Agriculture Science/ Animal Sciences as one of the subject.

M.Sc. in Environmental Science: Candidate should hold a Degree of  B.Sc. /B.Tech/B.E. in any discipline of Environmental.

Sciences and its allied subjets such as Agricultural / Forestry / Earth Sciences, Remote Sensing.

M.Sc. in Geoinformatics: Candidate should hold a Bachelor's  Degree in Environmental Science/ Forestry/ Geography/ Chemistry/ Physics/ Geology/ Geophysics/ Mathematics/ Oceanography/ Agriculture/ Atmospheric Science/ Climatology/ Information Science/ Computer Science/ Disaster Management / Electronics/ Town Planning/ Botany/ Zoology and allied disciplines.

Selection Process: Valid Score in UGC-NET/ UGC-CSIR NET/ SLET/ GATE/ M.Phil./or, any other national level fellowship test qualified students need not appear the CUCET but have to get registered through CUCET.


 

Central University of Jharkhand (CUJ) Admission Process 2023

Applications should be submitted ONLINE only.

OFFLINE applications will NOT be accepted.

Applicants are required to have a valid personal email ID and mobile number.

They should keep email id and mobile number active during the entire admission process, so they  may get any important message from university regarding entrance exam.

Follow the steps given below to Apply Online:

Step-1: Register for Online Registration using your own Email ID and Mobile No. and note down system generated Application Number.

Step-2: Complete the Online Application Form and note down the system generated Application Number.

Step-3: Upload visible scanned images of: (i) a recent photograph (in jpg/ jpeg file, size 10Kb – 200Kb) either in colour or black & white with 80% face (without mask) visible including ears against white background; (ii) candidate’s signature (file size: 4kb - 30kb)

Step-4: Pay prescribed fee through Net Banking / Debit Card / Credit Card / UPI and Wallet, keep proof of fee paid for future reference.

All the 4 Steps can be done together or at separate timings.

After the submission of Online Application Form (i.e successful completion of Step-4),Confirmation Page of the Application Form, should be downloaded and a printout of the samemay be retained for future reference. The Confirmation Page of the online Application Formwill be generated only after successful payment by the Candidate.

In case the Confirmation Page is not generated after payment of the prescribed Fee, thecandidate should approach the concerned Bank/Payment Gateway integrator for ensuring the successfulpayment. 

The candidate should keep the following ready before filling of the online Application Form:

  1. A computer with proper internet connectivity,
  2. The particulars of a valid Government ID proof,
  3. The Date of Birth (as mentioned in Class X Board Certificate),
  4. Govt. Identity Details like Aadhar Number (last 4 digits) / Election Card (EPIC No.) / Passport number/Ration Card Number / Bank Account Number / PAN Number / Other valid Govt. IDs,
  5. Educational Qualification details,
  6. Actual category viz General (UR) / EWS / OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) / SC / ST, as the case may be, correctly mentioned in the relevant column
  7. Scanned clear passport photograph in JPG/JPEG format (size between 10 kb–200 kb) either in colour or black & white with 80% face (without mask) visible including ears against white background,
  8. Scanned clear signature in JPG/JPEG format (size between 4 kb–30 kb)
  9. Four (04) Cities of your Choice,
  10. Bank account details for payment of fee,
  11. A valid e-mail ID as important communications will be made in this e-mail ID,
  12. A valid mobile number as important information via SMS will be sent to this number.

Fee for CUET UG

  • Unreserved and other categories: Rs. 750/-
  • OBC(NCL)/ EWS Students: Rs. 700/-
  • SC/ ST/ Third gender/ PwBD: Rs. 650/-
  • Centres Out SideIndia: Rs. 3,750/-

Fee for CUET PG

  • Unreserved and other categories: Rs. 1,000/-
  • OBC(NCL)/ EWS Students: Rs. 800/-
  • SC/ ST/ Third gender/PwBD: Rs. 750/-
  • PwBD: Rs. 700/-
  • Centres Out Side India: Rs. 5,000/-

An applicant can further apply upto Seven Test Papers by paying additional application fees of Rs. 500/- (Generalapplicants) or Rs. 400/- (OBC-NCL/ Gen-EWS/ SC/ ST/ Third Gender/ PwBD Applicants) per Test Paper for PG Programs.

Note:  An applicant can make payment through net-banking/debit/credit card/ UPI/ Wallet.

GST and other taxes as applicable by Govt. of India/ Bank to be paid by the candidate.

Applicants are advised to read Payment instructions carefully before paying the application fee.
