Bihar Agricultural University (BAU) offers following programs for the academic year 2023-2024

B.Sc. (Hons) in Agriculture (4 year)

Eligibility: Candidate should pass 10+2 exam in Science with

• Mathematics or Botany or Biology as first subject.

• Physics as second subject, Chemistry as third subject and One Elective as fourth subject, the elective subject being any one of Biology, Computer Science, Statistics, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Home Science, Nursing or Nutritional Dietetics.

Selection Process: Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination conducted each year by the Govt. of Bihar for 85% of the seat.

For 15% of the seat, selection would be made by All India Entrance Examination conducted by ICAR.

Eligibility: Candidate should hold B.Sc. (Hons) Ag. / B.Sc. (Hons) Hort Degree from recognised university/ institute.

Minimum marks shall be obtained 60%, 55% in case of candidates belonging to SC/ ST category.

Domicile of Bihar is mandatory for M.Sc. (Ag.) Degree program.

Selection Process: Admission in Master’s Degree program is made through a Competitive Test conducted each year by the University conducted for 85% of the seat.

For 15% of the seat, selection would be made by All India Entrance Examination conducted by ICAR.

Selection Process: Admission in Ph.D. program is made through a Competitive Test conducted each year by the University conducted for 75% of the seat.

For 25% of the seat, selection would be made by All India Entrance Examination conducted by ICAR.

Steps to apply: 

Download the application form from the official website of the university.

Take a print out of the application form.

Fill all the details correctly.

Pay the application fees through DD of requisite amount of application fee drawn in favour of “Comptroller, Bihar Agricultural University, Sabour” payable at State Bank of India, Sabour.

 Candidates must enclose photo copies of the following certificates with the application form:

1. Class 10th or equivalent Certificate and Mark Sheet.
2. Class 10th+2 examination Certificate and Mark Sheet
3. Bachelor’s Degree Certificate/ Provisional Degree Certificate and Transcript
4. Master’s Degree Certificate/ Provisional Degree Certificate and Transcript
5. One Self-addressed envelope bearing postage stamp of INR 27 for sending admit card along with a postcard for acknowledgment
6. Domicile Certificate
7. Caste Certificate (if any)

Application Fees:  

For Master’s Degree program: Rs. 535/- (Rs. 285/- for SC/ ST Category candidates). 

For Ph.D. program: Rs. 735/- (Rs. 385/- for SC/ ST Category students).
