Assam Agricultural University (AAU),  offers following programs for the academic year 2023-2024

UG Programs

BVSc and AH (Veterinary) (4 year)

Eligibility: Candidate should pass 10+2 with BCPE  from recognised board.

Minimum marks shall be secured 50% in aggregate for Gen/ OBC/ UPS.

40% for SC/ ST/ DAC in aggregate in 10+2 examination.

Age: A candidate for undergraduate degree program shall be at least 16 years of the admission year.

Selection Process: Valid Score in Entrance Test.

Fees: Rs. 11,100/- Per Year

Bachelor of Fisheries Science (BFSc) (4 year) 

Eligibility: Candidate should have passed 10+2 in Science with PCB/ PCAg  from recognised board.

Minimum marks shall be secured 50% for Gen/ OBC/ UPS category & 40% for SC/ ST/ DAC category.

Age: A candidate for undergraduate degree program shall be at least 16 years of the admission year.

Selection Process: Candidate should pass qualifying exam with valid score.

B.Sc. (4 year)

Specialization:

• Community Science

Eligibility:

B.Sc. in Community Science: Candidate should pass in 10+2 exam  in Science with PCB/ PCMB/ PCM/ PCAg./ PCH.Sc. from recognised board.

Minimum marks shall be secured 50%   for Gen/OBC/UPS category ( 40% for SC/ ST/ DAC in aggregate).

Age: A candidate for undergraduate Degree program shall be at least 16 years of age.

Selection Process: Merit in qualifying exam.

Fees: Rs. 11,100/- Per Year

B.Sc. in Agriculture: Candidate should pass in 10+2 exam with PCB/ PCAg from recognised board.

Age: A candidate for undergraduate Degree program shall be at least 16 years of age.

B.Sc. in Sericulture: Candidate should pass in 10+2 exam with PCB/ PCAg/ PC Forestry/ PCMB from recognised board.

Age: A candidate for undergraduate degree program shall be at least 16 years of age.

Master of Veterinary Science (MVSc) (2 year) 

Eligibility: A candidate must hold a Degree of B.Sc. (Agri)/ B.Sc. (Hort.)/B.Sc (Agri. Biotech)/ B.Sc. (Hons) Agriculture/ Horticulture/ B.Sc.(H.Sc.)/ B.Sc.(Hons) Community Science/ BFSc./ B.Tech (Fishery Science) of 4 years duration /B.V.Sc & A.H. (as the case may be) of this university or any other university recognized by this university.

Minimum marks shall be secured 60% for General/ OBC/ UPS category and 50% marks for SC/ ST/ DAC category. 

Selection Process: Valid Score in Entrance Test (GAT B).

Fees: Rs. 17,040/- Per Year

Master of Fisherier Science (MFSc) (2 year) 

Eligibility: A candidate must hold a Degree of B.Sc. (Agri)/ B.Sc. (Hort.)/B.Sc (Agri. Biotech)/ B.Sc. (Hons) Agriculture/ Horticulture/ B.Sc.(H.Sc.)/ B.Sc.(Hons) Community Science/ BFSc./ B.Tech (Fishery Science) of 4 years duration /B.V.Sc & A.H. (as the case may be) of this university or any other university recognized by this university.

Minimum marks shall be secured 60% for General/ OBC/ UPS category and 50% marks for SC/ ST/ DAC category.

M.Sc. (2 year)

M.Sc. in Agriculture: Candidate should hold a B.Sc. Degree in Science in Biotechnology.

M.Sc. in Community Science: A candidate must hold  B.Sc., B.Sc. (Agri)/B.Sc. (Hort)/B.V.Sc. & A.H./B.Sc. (Community Science)/B.Sc. (Food Science)/B.E./B.Sc.(Hons.) Agriculture/Horticulture/Community Science/B.Fsc or other equivalent Degree of this university or any other university recognized by the Assam Agricultural University.

M.Sc. in Food Technology: A candidate must hold  B.Sc., B.Sc. (Agri)/B.Sc. (Hort)/B.V.Sc. & A.H./B.Sc. (Community Science)/B.Sc. (Food Science)/B.E./B.Sc.(Hons.) Agriculture/Horticulture/Community Science/B.Fsc or other equivalent Degree of this university or any other university recognized by the Assam Agricultural University.

MBA in AgriBusiness Management (2 year) 

Eligibility: Candidate must hold the B.Sc. (Agri), B.V.Sc. & A.H., B.E. (Agril. Engineering), B.Sc. (Dairy Science), B.Sc. (Community Science) of 4 year duration, B.F.Sc. or B.Sc. (Forestry) (as the case may be), B.Sc.(Hons) Agri/Hort/H.Sc./Forestry/B.Tech (Ag. Engg.) degree examination of this University or any other University recognized by this University securing a minimum  60% marks (50% marks for SC/ST/DAC Category)

Selection Process: Valid Score in Entrance Test.

Eligibility: A  candidate  must  hold a M.Sc.  (Agri)/ M.Sc.(H.Sc.)/ MFSc.  (As  the  case  may  be)  Degree  in the concerned discipline of this university or any other university recognized by this  university.

For Veterinary, A candidate must have passed M.V.Sc. examination in concerned discipline of this University or any other  University  recognized  by  this  University  with  basic  degree  in  Veterinary  Science  with  a minimum CGPA of 3.00 in 4.00 scale or 7.00 in 10.00 scale or 58.00% of marks in traditional system.

Selection Process: Valid Score in Entrance Test.
