Eligibility: Any candidate who has passed the Master's examination in the concerned subject with a score of not less than 55% or equivalent (50%  for SC/ST/BC Category) marks. 

Selection Process: Valid Score in Entrance Test.

However, exemption from entrance test will be given to those who have already cleared any of the national test like UGC-/CSIR-NET/JRF, SLET, GATE, JEST, or any other prestigious test for national level scholarship/ fellowship conducted at all India level on behalf of national institution (s). 

International students who are being sponsored by the Government body such as the ICCR or MHRD or a Government agency of their own country, will be given directadmission to Ph.D. subject to the approval of the concerned department or centre.

International students who have been studying in India and are present in India at the time of the Ph.D entrance test will have to appear and qualify the entrance test conducted by the university.

Fees:

For Science: Rs. 30,000/-  Per Semester

For Non Science: Rs. 25,000/-  Per Semester

Akal University (AU) Admission Process 2023

Prospectus Fee Rs. 300/-

Admission Fee: Rs. 2,700/- once a year

Security for UG: Rs. 2,000/- and  for

PG: Rs. 3,000/- respectively.

Security is refundable on leaving the university and clearance of dues.

Schedule Caste students eligible for scholarships have to pay Security.

Candidates can download the Admission Form and submit it with a requisite fee through a Bank Draft in favor of Akal University, Talwandi Sabo payable at Talwandi Sabo, by the stipulated dates as above.

Documents Required attached with admission form:

a) Self-attested copy of Matriculation or equivalent examination certificate bearing testimony to date of birth.

b) Self-attested copy of Detailed Marks Card of the qualifying examination, or evidence of having appeared in the qualifying examination.

c) Character certificate issued by the Head Master/Principal of the school/college last attended.

d) Recent passport size self-attested three photographs. Photographs should be pasted with glue on the Form at specified places.

e) Self attested photocopy of Addhar Card.

f) Reserved category certificate, as per format given in the prospectus, wherever applicable.

g) Candidates with a gap of one or more year will have to submit an affidavit to the satisfaction of the Admission Committee that he/ she was not involved in any UMC or questionable activity during the gap period.

h) Persons with Disability must submit a certificate issued by the Chief Medical Officer of the concerned district, which should clearly indicate the extent of disability. Minimum 40% permanent disability is required, to be eligible for admission under this category.

Prospectus including Entrance Test: Rs. 1,500/-

Registration Fee: Rs. 5,000/- 

Security (Refundable) to be deposited at the time of Registration: Rs. 10,000/-

Thesis Evaluation Charges to be deposited at the time of Thesis Submission: Rs. 10,000/-

Dully filled up form and registration fee along with the required documents  and entrance test fee should be submitted to the college.

The following documents should be submitted with the form:

1. Proof of payment of Entrance test Fee.

2. Two passport size photographs.

3. Self-attested photocopies of Secondary Exam, Senior Secondary, Graduation DMC and Degree, Post Graduation DMC & Degree, M.Phil. Examination, UGC-NET certificates, any other qualification etc.

4. Character Certificate from the last attended institution.

5. NOC from employer, if employed.
